Bullshit he did. If Collins could have coached his way out of a paper bag, the branding would have started closing off his pipeline to Atlanta.

Wrong. If it was a great idea then UGA would still be doing it and and replacing UGA logos with ATL. They tried it, realized it was dumb and moved on. Georgia State has "ATL" in their fight song; how many fans and recruits are they robbing from Kirby?

Against, you're full of öööö. UGAg didn't have to put additional effort in because Clins totally ööööed up marketing to Atlanta. UGAg owns Atlanta more now than ever, which is obviously fine with you morons who yearn for things to be like 1952 again, somehow.

Morons like you are going to have us reduced to recruiting against Kennesaw, Mercer, Georgia State, and Troy.

If you want to cut off Kirby's recruiting pipeline, then yeah winning needs to be a part of that. Had TFG won bigly it wouldn't be as obvious that the marketing was crapola; but he didn't win and the marketing was crapola. The best marketing TFG actually did was selling recruits that "they are building something special at GT". I heard more recruits parrot that line than I heard saying they wanted to 'play for the ATL'. Even top recruits that went elsewhere were saying "they are building something special at GT". Once it became obvious that what TFG was building was a Special S*** Burrito the marketing and recruiting imploded. Now we got posters who can't let it go because they got sweet 404 gear in their closet they can't wear anywhere without people looking at them like they are drinking a Bud Light or something.

Serious question — what are you so worked up over, exactly? That the ATL/404 branding is/was a good idea? What’s the uga angle on this? You know there’s a whole thread about uga?

I personally associate the whole ATL404 thing with Goof. Maybe a rebranding to 770 or 678?
