Hey its Adamm Oliver, let me say this!

Re: Way to dodge my questions. This thread is about

Blah blah, blah. Way to ramble on about nothing without answering the question. your response shows your intellectual level. you probably didn't go to GT. Or maybe you did, you just have writing issues.

What words didn't you understand? And, there 'you' go with some kind of bias as to how I wrote this? That is funny as hell.:laugher:

I don't give a crap how I wrote it and what you think of my writing skills - I'm sure you got the message!:wow:

Re: Just change your username to "Strawman" and be done with it.

Peepad is the one GT "fan" (and I use that term loosely and in disbelief) I know who
(1) moderates a GT message board,
(2) starts threads on that message board to rile up a fan base already in turmoil,
(3) uses the foulest of obscenities to describe GT coaches, fans and players,
(4) shuts down a message board after a WIN so that happy fans can't go there,
(5) uses his position as a board moderator to stalk posters, and
(6) now expects us to believe he's a GT fan.

You can't refute any of this so you keep throwing out strawmen.

I-Wrecken, let me spell it out for you since you have a hard time hearing the point people are making. Read the above post by Stick. And then refute it. If you can't refute it, shut the **** up because that's the only point the people on this board are making.

If you have a tangent point you want to discuss, start a new thread.

Reading comprehension is your friend.

I am reading all these post and don't get the fights!? I am a Tech player/fan and want to make a good show and get listeners from all boards. I feel like I entered a war and everyone acts like I am joining with the enemy? I am not a gossip person, I dont care what BeBad may or may not have said, I care to unite the GT family and have a interesting show. If BeeBad is as bad as you all say he is then he will be kicked off the show in no time. Expressing thoughts and opinions is a part of football as it makes it fun and interesting. LETS FORGIVE, FORGET AND LOVE YOUR FELLOW GT BROTHER.

No thanks. You're going to have a rather difficult time convincing posters on StingTalk that you deserve very much consideration after your decision to unite with BuzzOff. That board is a literal magnet for misfits and troublemakers. You've declared your loyalties - now quit complaining when StingTalk posters do not completely support your personal decisions. A large number of BuzzOff posters that literally pollute their forums are not even GT graduates. Therefore, I don't consider them as my fellow GT brothers by any stretch of the imagination. A large number are simply fans that want to be affiliated with a major research university of the caliber of GT and they do not always have the interest of the university at heart. And you can see it in their posts.

You know what we can see in this post from you? That you are pompous and that you consider yourself superior to most everyone else. Why do so many alum think that if you didn't graduate from Tech, you can't be a fan? That is the attitude that causes such a rift with so many Tech fans and in turn causes many to think it might not be worth it. Get off your high horse and step into the real world. While I can appreciate the caliber of the research that is done at GT, it has nothing to do with my choice to be affiliated with the institute.

Too many GT alum that I have come into contact with have their noses so far up in the air that they cannot begin to know what being a real fan is. Being a real fan is not attending the school but still defending it and it's programs vehemently. I was raised at Tech fan, my parents were both raised Tech fans. My husband's family members are all Tech fans (except for one neice that is attending UGA). We are raising our daughter to be a Tech fan and we hope that she one day will attend GT. Does the fact that I didn't graduate from GT make me ineligible to be a fan? The institute doesn't mind taking my money each year for season tickets or donations to the Tech Fund so why should it matter to you?

THWG1974, I'm a GT grad and am happy to have folks like yourself who want to support Tech. Unfortunately Tech grads are like some Marines I know who think that they are the only branch of the armed forces worth funding;they tend to forget that USMC can also mean 'Unlimited S__t, Mass Confusion'.

Anyway, thanks to you for your entire clans' past and hopefully future continued support of GT. Good luck to your daughter when she attends GT!

Would you please get off your high horse in your GT alum rant. My comments were NOT directed at you unless you are specifically one of those BuzzOff posters that have an incredible knack for embarrassing the university. I don't have any problems with folks that want to be GT fans - unless those non-alums tear the university down in the manner that BO has continually done in the past.

Of course, aimlessly jumping all over folks that have earned a GT degree isn't going to win you many friends either. Just food for thought for those silly insecure folks out there that might have a genuine chip on their shoulder. ;) However, since this was your first post I'm going to give you the actual benefit of the doubt that you indeed do not understand the history behind my original comments. Please take the time to re-read my original comments and to acclimate yourself to the history of negative comments that BO non-alums have generated toward the university in the past. And don't automatically jump to conclusions next time. If you are all in favor of supporting the university as you claim, then I'm all for you. If you are a BO non-alum that seeks to tear the university down, then we have nothing else to talk about.

Buzzbomb, maybe if you didn't SOUND condescending and arrogant, he wouldn't assume it. Stop sounding like your lecturing him.

Oh and FWIW, I did graduate from GT.

Well Barrel, you certainly know full well the up-hill battles that we had to fight, the crap we had to endure and the bullets we sweated to get that GT degree. With that in mind, I just don't feel too compelled to take cheap shots from first time posters directed towards those of us that did manage to stick it out and get the degree. Especially a poster that may not even understand what has happened over the years with BO. I've put the issues into context for him. Now he needs to do a little homework and he'll probably understand why I said what I did. You've been around long enough to already understand why I said what I did. So why are you lecturing me?

Actually, I am a she (the comment about my husband's family should have tipped you off ;)), my post wasn't a GT alum rant and I honest to goodness:o wouldn't intentionally take cheap shots at anyone on any of the Tech boards (including Bbuzzoff). What you may believe is putting issues into context most assuredly comes across as pompous and more than a little condescending whether that was your intent or not.

I am a longtime reader on this and many other Tech message boards and have chosen not to comment because of the tendency of some (not the majority mind you) to make assumptions/assertions like the one that you made that just because someone doesn't have a degree from GT that they somehow are less of a Tech fan. You may want to take a step back and see where a non-alum is coming from before making decisions about who your real Tech brothers (and sisters:D are and show them a little respect for not having alum ties to a school but still supporting that school as much as (and sometimes more than) many of the alum.

As much as I hate UGA and it's fanbase, you have to admit that they all support each other in being fans. You would never hear fans from UA, AU, UF, UGA (do I need to name more) tell another fan that they aren't a real fan because they didn't attend that university.

I see where you are coming from, really. You studied your ass off and you can proudly say that your degree from GT was hard earned. You have my respect:biggthumpup: but my whole point was that non-alum fans deserve respect also.

That's funny, every UGa alum I've ever met bad mouths their own sidewalk fans worse than Tech fans bad mouth UGa sidewalk fans. But I've only met a handful of UGa alums.
