How long does it take to install an Offense?

What, out of his own pocket you think?
If you listen to some on here, GT has raised enough $$ to make moves. And this past off-season, GT did make moves and added support staff. In fact, GT added another support staff member this week per reports.

So fast forward to December, you don’t think if Sanders is the option he would have numerous coaches want to join him?

Comparing Sanders to Collins is a bit of a stretch. An NFL HOF player who just recently got into coaching and is already proving himself on the recruiting trail and on the field is much different than Collins.

Collins had a reputation as a defensive minded assistant coach who could recruit before going to Temple. Let’s also keep in mind that Matt Ruhle left Temple from a talent / scheme standpoint offensively vs what GT had in place to move from the spread option to a more traditional offense. The OL GT had and still does is not what solid offenses are built around. Now going into year 4, the OL should no longer be 5he liability it’s been.

I believe Sanders could bring in an elite staff at GT and elevate the program. His name and reputation go a long way with the current generation of recruits. From a risk / reward standpoint, this is a viable option.

To be honest, there aren’t many proven names out there that would leave their current situation in the P5 for GT. GT in all likelihood would end up with an NFL assistant or an up and coming MAC level HC.
Oh I didn't mean it as a slight against Sanders, I meant with respect to the natural limitations at Tech. I think Sanders has some real potential and probably a bright future ahead of him. I just don't think that style of coach (win through recruiting) is possible/sustainable here. I believe there's a real ceiling here, ever since the creation of APR.

To answer the OPs question, it depends on the guys you have, and particularly on the OL. IMO instant install at Bama for Chip Long, 3 years at GT. But he only has 1 year.

lol

Sanders would be an equal disaster to Collins. Dumb ööööing take.

Speaking of APR, anybody know how we are doing on that these days? Don't hear it mentioned much anymore which makes me think it has dropped since it used to be a bragging point.

How does the transfer carousel affect the APR? I would think the new degrees in the Ivan Allen School and the relaxed grading would help us maintain APR for players with a minimal IQ.

All this coming from a guy who thinks Dan Mullen is the answer. ROFL…..A guy who was fired from a factory school in UF because of his antics, flirtations with the NFL and lack of recruiting.

It’s about as dumb as your take on Swafford the “savior” of the elite conference known as the ACC aka bottom of the P5. Ya know, 10+ years late to the party aka TV network, and behind only the dinosaur P12N deal in payouts.

APR will no longer be an excuse in the coming years when the NCAA is officially no longer a part of major CFB. That piece of the puzzle will be removed once the conferences govern themselves, or there is an overall commissioner.

it looks to me that our passing game was based upon, generally speaking, a pro-style, progression based downfield scheme requiring the QB to make post-snap reads. This has not been Sims strength to date. It’s not a knock on him; rather, a failure of our OC to adjust to his strengths. A zone-read scheme accented with a concise RPO scheme would play to Sims’ advantages. From what I can tell, this is where CCL is going. I could be wrong and we’ll ultimately find out in a few weeks.
You are correct. Having talent is one thing, putting that talent into positions to win, is another. I look at this way... You may have a great horse. That horse may win every horse race, you enter. However; if you enter that horse into a car race, it is going to fail. I think Sims got put into positions to lose, over and over. Along with that, we have a once in a lifetime RB talent. We failed to utilize that talent and he left.

I have literally no idea what you’re talking about re: Swofford.
