Nebraska is not a worse program, but they may truly be in a tougher spot when you factor in that they have now struck out on several consecutive coaches (including the alum who was wildly successful at UCF) and have no real recruiting base. As you allude to, the fact that they're this bad while having great fan support and Big Ten money to throw around is pretty troubling.

The cherry on top is how cartoonish he looks in the process. He can't even get annihilated in a semi-normal way. He's the coaching equivalent of the player dancing after a sack while his team is down 50.

Agree. We're not built to be any kind of powerhouse, but there's enough talent that competent coaching could have this team competing for a bowl.

Chan Gailey would do just fine with this roster.
