I know I’m old fashioned…

We were down 22 until garbage time. Every loser team blames the refs. 8/79 v 10/100. Yes, bad calls, but they were calling shit all game. We bitched about the officials after ND, VT, UGA and Vandy. Repratedly losing games isn’t because of the zebras.
The only two I recall being an issue were Uga and this most recent atrocity. ND was lost because we had no QB. I honestly don’t remember the VT game.

So we’re pussies for questioning the calls that the TV guys were questioning and their replay analyst said was a wrong call, but you’re not a pussy for trying to get an invite to your wife’s boyfriend’s sugar bowl tailgate? And since when are the final 9 minutes of the 4Q garbage time? That’s like 15% of the game.
Yes, you are being a pussy. We got beat. You sound like a woke victim. We lost 6 games and you have to justify every one. We got our shit pushed in. Out coached , out manned and Diego willed his team to a win.

Didn’t watch VT, but also, no QB. We didn’t lose ND because of refs. Got our asses kicked by a better team and after our first offensive possession we were outmatched.

We were the better team, even if slightly. Without some really bad calls at crucial times, I think we win going away. And that was without Singleton, Efford, and some other key defensive players from this season.

If anything, our record this year should have been better. Lots of good things to look forward to for next season.

Go look at the postgame thread. The officials were protecting the Irish like they do the Dwags, the SEC, the B1G, Alabama, Ohio State and the Pope. We are a broken record.

Go ahead pussy. Show me. Go through that. Looks like a bunch of dudes giving credit to ND being better, our OL sucking, and our coaching getting outclassed, a team missing its MF QB. So go ahead, give us the examples of us all being pussies after that game. Or move the goal posts and find something else to be angry about. I can make political parallels but I’m not a pussy defined by culture bullshit like a soft ass maggot like yourself. Go ahead bitch, read that post game thread.

Edit: ha. I love it. On the first page I make a comment about the refs. But it doesn’t fit your made up narrative. I anticipate you’ll suddenly stop posting, or come in hot with another set of aggressive insults moving the goalposts. Bitch.

VT post game thread. Not one single mention of refs. Not one. A lot of railing on Buster’s game plan, poor receiver play. But not one single woke victim. It’s almost like you completely made that up. It’s almost like the refs totally fucked us in Athens and ripped victory out of ours hands in the last 5 minutes and we’re still pissed about it. The refs were atrocious tonight and had no control of the game. We played an awful game and deserved to lose, but despite our poor play, we could have won it too. And without some of the egregious officiating maybe we do. But the refs were objectively bad in these two games. You have not yet produced one single example of us playing the victim after the ND or VT game. And you won’t, cause you ded.

The problem with this game is the true outcome was denied & instead of exercising some restraint and calling the game evenly, the Refs exacerbated the situation by purposefully chucking flags punitively against us. Just very bad as a Ref to do that. We'll never know if we finally managed to find the endzone often enough to have pulled away or had to keep settling for FGs. We took a 13-14 game in which we had scored twice in a row & had stopped them twice, should have had great field position in order to score 3 or 7 & go ahead. Refs botched it, put us on our 2, leading to a punt instead with them having good field position. Then we stopped them a 3rd time. Nope, denied again by a phantom PI which was really OPI. Who knows the outcome if the Refs did not erroneously alter the chain of events. How many consecutive scores does our O get? How many consecutive stops does our D get? Do we get a lead and if so how big? 2 pts, 6-7 pts, 14 pts? Can they come back being down 2 scores? Call it whining if you will, but it was a rather strange sequence that even cursory video scrutiny will judge harshly. There's a reason it has gotten worse since 2019 & it's not coincidental.

The kick catch interference was nonreviewable, right? I think such a penalty ought to be reviewable, at least by challenge if not ref-initiated review.
give teams one Penalty Review per game. Doesn’t matter if it’s overturned or not, only 1 per game. Can double the penalty yards or something if penalty is confirmed

I don't always see eye to eye with you but you nailed the hell out of this one.

So if we were not down then Rutherford would have slid rather than take contact? Or he would have chosen to protect the ball with two hands if only there weren't bad calls earlier?

Give me a break. Like I said, there were some really bad calls, but saying that our players' clear mistakes were the fault of the officials is dumb.

Whatever, man. King ain’t forcing a throw into triple coverage without the bullshit that happened immediately before. Rutherford is playing more in control and not juking from one side of the field to the other if we didn’t suddenly start playing offense like our asses were on fire when we got down two scores.

Of course the officials didn’t make them turn the ball over, but they certainly lost control of the game and fucked us repeatedly to the point where a couple of our veteran playmakers were playing uncharacteristically reckless with the ball.

I was at the game up until we got told to leave due to lightning in the area (actually told to seek cover in area that would likely hold about 1/10th of the people there). This game was first I have ever attended where to PA announcers were actively razing the refs, not just once; but repeatedly; that is how bad the officiating was. It was stuff like "This GT fan wins the Cunecuh Sausage giveway. This is one thing the refs can't take away from you." and "Come sign a card with Santa for our drive, Santa won't throw a flag at you". There were other comments over the PA that I'm sure the refs will make some sort of objection to; but it was that clear that the refs were blowing calls.

Personally I don't have any grudge against Vandy or their fans; but those calls ruined would could have been a good game. Those were some awful calls that really take away from the enjoyment of the game. My personal experience is that the B'nam Bowl game experience blew chunks. About a 2 hour drive in the rain, to a parking deck a mile from the stadium, to take a shuttle that drops you off about 1/4 of mile from the stadium, to miss kickoff with a few thousand other fans because of the line backed up to get into Protective Stadium which apparently only has 1 entrance, to watch that officiating S*** show only to be told to leave before the end, and then walk back to the car in the rain because the line for the shuttle is over 1000 yards long. I'll stay home if GT ever gets sent there again.
