I think CPJ's finally done with Taquon

I think that this fan debate and not playing for a few weeks may have helped TQM. He played yesterday like his hair was on fire. Maybe he needs the pressure of losing the position.

And getting healthy. Marshall would be on crutches without TO being there

There were countless plays where we ended up with 4 or 6 that against other competition would have been 10 or 20 yarders.

Pulling that game out last night was a pure gut check. Total team. I loved it.

That's the comment I made last night at the end of the game. Blowouts are fun. But watching the team gut one out is pretty damn good too.
And we're talking in the stands last night about how fast Miami's D was. Clemson's is probably better, simply because you just can't move their D line, but Miami's LBs were racing to spots to stop gains.

At the Duke game, I leaned over the rail and told TQM that my birthday was on the day of the Miami game. I'm in row 2 right behind where the offense sits.

He played well as a present to me.

TQM threw some nice and needed passes. I also thought he missed some handoff reads. Give him credit , he played well upon review. At the stadium I felt he missed some reads and tiptoed at times but after watching the tape I must admit I was being to critical. A little liquor and past bad memories take a while to get over. But after watching the tape, must admit #9,#94 and #55 are great defensive players for da U and some of the others are quit good as well. They were very quick. Congrats TQM.

Before our game d'oh Us Def allowed 1.55 pts/drive (calculated) vs Pwr5 opponents.

Not counting end of half/game possessions, we had 8 drives. An average O scores 12 pts. We scored 27, 3.38 pts/drive.

Even if you take away our two short field scores, we scored 17pts in 6 drives, 2.83 pts/drive.

Coach and Quon had a great game.

LSU scored 33, FSU and BC have also scored 27 against them this year.
Don't forget we also had to settle for 3 after the muffed punt debacle. We were driving and likely score on that last possession too if we're not solely trying to run the clock out. Also they got the gift line-drive-punt-it-into-someone's-back when we would've had a chance to drive and score again before half. Our score didn't show it as much and yes that's what counts most but our O played fairly well against a good D. Add about 4 correct reads that TQM missed and it's even better.

He looked more healthy than he has in a while. I think he's been a little banged up and was finally 100% ready Saturday.

On the long TD run, he used B. Stewart's block as well as he possibly could. Great awareness.

In contrast, I think on the next drive Q. Lynch ran to the inside when Q. Searcy had the block leveraged to the outside.

Good game for Marshall. His best win by far. Hopefully, it will not be the best win in his career.
