I'm officially pissed Oliver hasn't started all season

Yeah, there's really no reason to trash on TQM. Our problems this year have not been QB problems.

Now if TO has got some special potion he gives the OL, then keep putting him back in there for sure.

Do you think Tobias completes the third down pass against usf that tqm did when he came back in? I don't

I think tqm healthy is about as good as Oliver. Better passer; faster but not as strong runner. When he is hurt he loses his quickness and is significantly worse.
TQM sucks at multiple facets of playing QB. His fundamentals are horrendous.

I don’t think the game comes down to a must-make third down if Tobias had been your starter.

This team is probably 5-3 with Oliver from the beginning.

The team just plays more decisively with oliver under center. I don’t know why that is but it’s one of two ways imo: #1) they trust him more with the offense. Or #2) they know they need to be better because he’s not as good so they’re hyper focused. I lean towards #1. The offense looks better when it’s lead by someone that believes in it. I think TO is a believer. I’m not sure TQM has a strong enough grasp of it to be a strong believer.

I think it's the other way around. I think TQM has such a strong grasp of the offense that he's blown by the rest of our guys. CPJ tries to do all sorts of tricky shit with TQM in the game and when TO is in the game we're running like 15% of our playbook. But that 15% happens to be the stuff that everybody on the team actually knows how to do so we look crisp as shit doing it. I think CPJ could make TQM look really good if he'd just run a simpler set of plays with him. It might not use TQM to his potential, but it'll win.

I would prefer to run a limited playbook (Triple Option, Sprint Option, Rocket Toss, Give, Follow + 4 pass plays like Everyone Go Deep, AB Wheel Route, Smoke Screen, and B-Back Screen) and beat all the teams we are supposed to beat than open up the playbook, execute like garbage, and lose to USF, Pitt, and *Duke. *Duke is better than the first two, but we coulda/shoulda/woulda won that game if our guys didn't trip on their dicks.

If having TO at QB limits the playbook and we mix up blocking assignments to adjust / exploit the defense, then give me TO. If we can do that with TQM, then give me TQM. I'm tired of watching busted plays, missed assignments, and hearing that we can't recruit players good enough to beat USF, Pitt, and Duke. I'd much rather execute and have our those SAME GUYS beat Louisville and Virginia Tech on the road averaging 500 yards of rushing offense and 57 points.
