Maybe he was taking a dump and that's why he was unavailable to go in.
Unsolvable since one of the factors (Sims) = 0. There is no Sims.We need a poll:
100% Gibson = x% Sims
Solve for x.
Also, I'm not sure if there's any merit to the rumors that he refused to go in. I wasn't there and simply don't know what to believe. Probably best that Key doesn't dress Sims if he'd not ready to actually go in when needed.
I'm 99.99% sure of the source who posted it. He is someone who has some inside knowledge of the program but he sits right near Jeff's family and heard/saw it with his own ears/eyes during the game from the lower west. Also, I'm not sure if there's any merit to the rumors that he refused to go in. I could see Key doing the “I’m a man, I’m 40” baloney. This situation is on Key. You say “he didn’t feel he could contribute”. Then you boot him from the team (no gym, no practice, no AA dining, no nothing other than medical care for injuries) if he refused to play. If he didn’t refuse to go in, there was no need for the press conference theatrics.
Since the press conference did happen, you either boot him from the team or you have a “I’m a man! I am 40! Come at me, bro!” type press conference.

If he is not healed, then sitting out might be the right thing to do. These sort of injuries can stay with you for life if not rehabilitated properly.
Mike Gundy reference in da house!I could see Key doing the “I’m a man, I’m 40” baloney.
Maybe we get lucky and the depth chart and weekly press conference address today. And then we can get back to discussing the best trick plays and the merits of punting on third down.
pretty sure many make how they feel quite known during the gamesIt must suck to have the musings of us idiots thrown in your face. 15 years ago you wouldn’t have known how people REALLY felt about your kid unless you were to eavesdrop on a few tailgates or stadium conversations. Not anymore.
So, yes, it sucks. But it’s the same EVERYWHERE.
Actually that’s not entirely true. I suspect we’re a lot kinder than most.
I agree. This may be a mistake of an inexperienced head coachThen just say he's out rather than this emergency replacement BS. It's just not a good look for him
You lost me at great... Dont think thats possible w this dude no matter where he goes.I think Sims is done for this year. I think he is healing up, so he is 100%, next year. Now, with that, I do think he will portal out and go to a different school. I further predict he will be a great QB, wherever he ends up. Once he unlearns everything taught here, we will be much better. I have no anger towards him. All I can say is, I understand.
