I would accept the risk. Our next coach will most likely be inexperienced. I doubt we could find anyone with "Prime Time's" name recognition. High School students know all about him and I doubt there would be many doors he couldn't open.
Sanders would bring a media Buzz, (pun intended) that no one else could provide.
He certainly couldn't be worse that what we have seen over the past three years.
I do like TechFan02's suggestion of Briles. He built Baylor, who was the little brother to Texas and aTm, into a decent destination. Not sure how much negative recruiting he could endure.

Getting a little ahead of ourselves here, let's start with the basics - does Deion know how timeouts work?

A significant portion of the fanbase including on this site is absolutely "option man bad". They hate it. Your argument of CPJ was the best and we would never be as good with someone from his. oaching tree is a view held by very few, and is also wrong.

He has a 13-4 record. The previous 2 coaches had 6-9 and 9-20 records.

The operative word here is “was”. A lot of his protégés have built on his offense in ways CPJ tried, but wasn’t able to. It’s hard for someone who’s had so much success doing what they’re doing to change this late in their careers. The hurry with which he dropped the Diamond was clear evidence of this.

Exactly, Chadwell is our best hope to land a good X’s and O’s coach. No other P5 school is likely to give him a shot because of his offense. We can at least maybe get back to 6-7 win seasons with him.
 
The same dark forces that got CPJ to retire - the deep Hill - are working hard to keep CGC in control.

I like ken n and Jeff, but I would rather have bohannon. He has built ksu from scratch and if this season goes like the last three, then we are only 3 level above scratch. Plus he has an existing relationship with all the high school HC in this state That will help in recruiting.

Another Name to throw out would be Jon Gruden. I think he would give some def cord. Nightmares. Plus I think you would get some better Qb recruits and would be a fun offense to watch. He currently is coaching HS and I think he would jump at a chance to coach again

Here's a novel concept coach, If you can't quit (don't blame you with that fantastic contract) just mumble, groan and deflect or ACTUALLY CORRECT whatever the hell it is your doing.

I'm shocked I watched the entire game. All the confidence in the world won't help a QB who's not developing. You're paid to coach, not give repeat taped confessionals in a post game conference.

The good news is we just gave the rest of the NCAA a free class on "Who not to Hire to build a program" F'n asshat
