Is There a Coach Out There Who Gives a öööö?

Bill O'Brien
Would be an interesting choice if he would accept.

My impression is that he is a good coach. He is a horrible GM. As a Titans fan, I appreciated his moves as GM of the Texans.

Can we pay him more than he is making at Bama as a consultant?

OBrien I would do but I don't think there is a chance he would come her. Bronco Mendenhall, Jon Gruden, Peterson maybe - they all have some baggage. I would like to get someone with a track record and experience so I would try to go after these guys or a comparable. If totally strike out on that angle then I want to watch Chip Long and see how he does this year. He has to clean up the mental errors of the offense - namely false starts, Is that him or Key? I need to see more but my initial view is he has does some good things with Sims and might have the discipline this team needs so badly. Recruiting - just don't know.

The same dark forces that got CPJ to retire - the deep Hill - are working hard to keep CGC in control.

Stay vigilant. 1885 will commence again.
I’m as big a CPJ fan as any, but he had to retire. it wasn’t even because of anything that was necessarily wrong with his offense or him. It was because the defenses under his HC were always terrible under a whole host of different DCs, and due to rule changes his offense was merely good and not really good, which no longer masked the poor defense.

The poor results since were not inevitable.

I assumed it was a combination of it being the first game and going against an elite defensive line. I'm not going to worry about the false starts unless we continue to see it - then we have big problems...

Sign him up! Former Falcon and Brave. He would actually fulfill the "404" concept. :)
If we hired Deion, The “proper shade of gold” debate could get interesting

Drew Cronic?! WTF

He has a weird wing-t/triple option mix out of shotgun that is 50/50 run/pass. OC is Bob Bodine, who worked for Jeff Monken for a long time. Would be cheap and satisfy the option fans without being run heavy. I'd definitely prefer Jamey Chadwell over all the others I mentioned though.

Sportstalk guy in Jacksonville with the scoop.

That would be one of the most wild things ever. But the question is how it would transition/work. I could clearly see it as an opportunity for him to try to transition to FSU one day or otherwise. But what has made him successful at JSU?

If he could line up people like Tyler Perry as NIL sponsors, this has potential. Deion does have Atlanta ties and Atlanta provides him with a bigger stage than Tallahassee.

After Collins gets the boot, is there a single quality coach on the market who cares enough about Tech to pursue a job here? What’s the selling point to a coach on an upward trajectory? Location?

I feel like Collins has completely sunk this program.
Jamey Chadwell
