Smith was good. He played in the NFL for the Jags, right?Dayrl smith?
I could have named 15 defensive players who played for ChanDayrl smith?
Yeah pretty much in aggregate. Win a couple, lose to some mediocre team, become mediocre team. Rinse and repeat.Too Young for me to know.
Using Brown's logic, he'd have taken offense to Chan asking Braine if he could win a national title here.Chan didn’t give the opponent bulletin board material.
No. Chan Gailey’s defenses were really good. But ironically the NFL OC couldn’t figure out how to score points, even with the best offensive player in CFB at the time.Too Young for me to know.
You think there was more to get out of Bilbo, ball, suggs, Bennett, etc?No. This staff knows how to develop a QB.

Chan got 5 years and right off the bat he was saddled with flunk gate. We also lost a RB who looked to be one of the best RB's in CFBFor the young people. the Way of Chan means you will win 1 you should not, then lose 2-3 you should win, then lose to uga. but have no fear, in the end it will balance out to 7-6 or 8-5 season, get a öööö bowl.. every f'ing year, EVERY F'ING YEAR. Don't look for that awesome season every 3 years we got under CPJ..

Hard to say because you never knew what you were going to get with a CCG team. One game you may play lights out against a superior opponent but the next game you’d lay an absolute egg against an inferior opponent. Come back at the end of the season, and you’ll have more answers.Too Young for me to know.

There was always the hope Chan would make it over the hump. If Key keeps having games like this one and Bowling Green last year it is the same. Keep in mind… Clough was also saying GT is a .500 football school.Too Young for me to know.
The end of the 2006 season still makes me physically ill nearly 18 years after the fact. There was always the hope Chan would make it over the hump. If Key keeps having games like this one and Bowling Green last year it is the same. Keep in mind… Clough was also saying GT is a .500 football school.
Chan really had some good teams that underperformed. Should have beaten ugag 2 or 3 times. That 2006 team is a national championship contender with good leadership. Key is still building. We will see where he gets before lumping him in that category.
What was his record against UGA?Chan got 5 years and right off the bat he was saddled with flunk gate. We also lost a RB who looked to be one of the best RB's in CFB
Are we really at the point where we equate road losses by 3 to Syracuse with a 5-star QB to Bowling Green at home? Really? Are we really saying this game was that bad? We played pretty badly, and they played very well. We have played in 3 cities thousands of miles apart in 3 weeks with no real cupcake game to start the year. Some people are really out to lunch about this Syracuse team. They made a bowl game last year with no QB.There was always the hope Chan would make it over the hump.
