Talk about a trailing indicator. Did we really need to see where our guys were drafted (or not) to know that we had a bad season last year? And did anyone really think the problem was *all* bad play-calling?

After serving his time in JUCO he got picked up by Nebraska, try and keep up.

Has he officially committed yet? I googled and only saw he has a nebraska offer, along with Memphis and Arkansas State.

Butch’s recruiting was what got him fired. But it was because UT fans thought he was wasting the talent he was bringing in.

The same thing happened to Richt at uga. The bs about him not recruiting the big uglies was to cover Smart’s poor first year.

We could use a boost in recruiting. Getting that 6’7” receiver who picked VT over us a few years ago is a good example. We’ve got to get better at closing.

What got Lyle fired was getting the crap kicked out by bammy and the leghumpers, plus lethargic efforts at home against UMass
If anything UT recruiting was better, much better, under Lyle than under Lil Dooley

Randomly, the security guy at the pass office at NAS Pt. Mugu in Oxnard, CA brought this up to me. He saw I was traveling for GT(RI) and said his best friend’s son played at Tech and just got signed. He was buds with Step’s dad from Jacksonville or something. Small world.
