It was Clown's job to figure out who can get it done and who can't. It's also his job to have the backup prepared. He failed on both fronts.

So did Matt Rhule who is widely considered a successful college coach. Again, the Clown can be blamed for a lot. But in this case, Sims has the tools, but just plain sucks on game day because he is a walking vagina with no football IQ. .

Ok, so 3 abject failures. Typhoid Sims, hopefully this doesn't go viral.

Only explanations I can think of for fumbling snaps repeatedly is nerves or distraction. Or the center snapping it differently in a game situation. Snaps looked pretty good tho

Gave me deja vu watching him fumble those away

As much as it’s easy to blame Clown, I’ve come around to the idea that Sims was just never a good player. Great athlete but no football IQ and no heart.
I’m not sure what Nebraska’s all fired up about, Sims is having a pretty average Sims year so far. The dude has amazing physical ability but a single digit Wonderlich, he’s got the dreaded “S” for soft tattoo’d on his forehead, he’s injury prone plus he and/or his mama have thin skins according to message board commentary. By the accounts I’ve read Dad has some fire in his belly as evidenced by his yelling from the stands last season but that obviously didn’t translate Geoff, Jr. Damn shame because he seems like a really nice kid. I’d love to see him excel, but pretty sure the handwriting is on the wall here.

A little harsh. He can run, but is injury prone. And he has a great arm, just every throw is 1.5 seconds late.
He runs well, he just can't take a hit and fumbles a bunch. In the air, he tends to stare down receivers telegraphing his throws and can't see the defenders, both of which lead to INTs. On top of that, he gets frustrated and quits easily.

Great physical abilities, but mentally weak. I can see why coaches think they can "fix" him.

Maybe they can. No shame in taking a shot at him. The shame is they apparently lost two good QBs in the transition.

I think he’s under a lot of pressure to perform and it’s sad to see someone fail so publicly. He probably feels pretty bad for letting his family down from what was potentially millions of dollars in the NFL. I don’t know that there is enough time to right the ship.

Ibonically, he probably needs an injury or two to the other QBs [sic] to get another chance at it. Iconic.

Time to move on from talking about him. Starting to sound like the obsessed ex that was dumped

I don't know, sometimes it's just fun to wallow around in other people's misfortune and misery, it's the human way. It would be the grown up thing to do, which is why we won't. And shouldn't, where the fun in that. What's next yelling "DOWN IN FRONT!"

Sports are more fun with storylines where I have some interest. Watch our old girlfriend fail is a storyline I can follow. Watching Deion succeed is another since I vocally supported him coming to Tech.

otherwise I’d just flip past Colorado or Nebraska games and have nothing to watch.

Had he not refused to play in the UGAg game his treatment would be much better. As it is, the young man just quit on his team. Most all of us were pulling for him to make it big. Still, I have a hard time wanting him to fail to somehow make me feel better. It won’t.

Geoff Simmms is my least favorite GT player of all-time but i am starting to feel sorry for that candy-ass mofo, he must be battling some serious demons in his own head right now

On the other hand, Clown's last job before he became a HC (where he took over for Rhule) was working for Rhule. Matt might be throwing a little blame around right about now.
