Key just failed his interview

How many players are on a FBS roster? If the answer is more than 3, you're a ******.
Gibson is the third string QB, behind Sims and Pyron. They are both injured, so we had to put him in.

You should give Coach Key the judgement of charity. The coaches are evaluating players on a daily basis, and they want our team to succeed.

Also, you should not be using the R word.

Pulling a fan out of the stands to play quarterback is not literally better than playing a really bad QB who gave up on the last play of his first game.

Similarly, switching midseason to an offense that doesn't use a QB but instead has a wide receiver take every snap is not literally better than playing Gibson. I don't know what that would even look like.

Gibson is awful. But the failure here is that we did not have a better third string QB to play than him. Not that we chose to play him instead of giving up on the game and doing something like either of the above.

Losers lose, it really is that simple.

Again, y’all are dumb for cheerleading Key as a candidate after Pitt and even dumber for bailing after FSU and dumbest of all for ditching him after this game.

We have the worst qb in FBS history as our only option. After playing the first 35 minutes with a true frosh backup. No coach that you want wins with this scenario. No conclusions can be drawn on Key from this game. All we know so far is that he’s smarter than a complete dumbass.
We also know keys Oline coaching has been horrible for 4 years

Don't get me wrong. I don't think Key is the best for the position.

Maybe he would have succeeded if Sims never was hurt. Maybe we would have beaten Miami today if Pyron didn't get hurt.

We can't hire based on counterfactuals.

I still feel like the guy was dealt a poor hand with the QB injuries.

Oh well.

Yep. He got a group of guys fired up and beat a few teams we had the talent to beat. That doesn't mean he deserves a contract. Huge props to him for not letting this entire season go completely down the drain, and being an all around good guy from what it looks like, but anyone who ever thought that means he should lose the interim tag had no idea what they were talking about.

And him keeping Gibson on the roster after the UVA game was inexcusable.

Give Key benefit, yet we were getting whooped on offense all day, and our defense wasn’t doing super great. We couldn’t get any takeaways and we threw 4 picks. Our playcalling was stupid and we couldn’t stop the run. Especially in the clutch. But that’s all Gibson’s fault.

My response was in regards to playing Gibson after Pyron was hurt. I agree that Key is responsible for the result of the game.

I don't think Key should get the job because I expect better candidates to be interested. But we weren't going to win with QB3. Heck, Gibson's stat line passing was identical to Pyron's

Miami is hot garbage. Like legit hot garbage. Playing with their 4th backup so I don’t wanna hear it

I just poured gunpowder on my brain and I’m about to light the fuse.

FYI: this was the Ole Miss game all over again.

We might have to hire Brent on the cheap to rebuild the roster so that better candidates will be interested. I'm not sure that Chadwell will want to come here and rebuild the roster from scratch when there are better situations he is in contention for. Same with most of the other coaching options.

Key should of never been given an interview. He is a loser. Nothing more, nothing less. He couldn't coach the O line. Why people thought he would magically be a great head coach, is beyond me.
