Yall quit big crying me like I didn’t have “Fire the son of the bitch” as my statement under my profile pic lol. Sure that disclaimer will ward off future poo and bigcrys. Anyway:
Best post of the thread so far. Curry’s guys loved him but it took Ross to turn them into men who were ready for battle.18-22 year olds rushed the beaches of France and defeated Hitler. @GT flunkout and I were talking about this on our way to Ole Miss game. The biggest problem we have as a society today come from considering people kids until they turn 30. And our problems specific to football, a game of war and attrition, are also because our coaching staff treated them like kids. This was a major disservice to them. I’m not blaming them for being upset that he’s gone because they went through most of their career being shielded by Collins and they’re not going to get it until someone teaches them differently or professional life hits them in the face.
Ok, now you are flying off the deep end. Collins was Caralla’s boss so maybe let’s see how he does under an actual football coach.Caralla needs to go too
Makes me laugh when the enablers are calling the people that called out the crime toxic. The world is on its head & they don't get it at all.Toxic is such a hip word nowadays.
Denial is toxic. No accountability is toxic. Coddling is toxic. Apathy is toxic. Losing is toxic.
alright grandpa, i know things were soooooo much harder in the past but none of this has any meaning on the real world. the kids getting their öööö rocked on normandy beach were kids too. they were scared ööööless and died tragically. no need to remove their humanity like that, it's unfortunate that they were never able to grow old like you or me.18-22 year olds rushed the beaches of France and defeated Hitler. @GT flunkout and I were talking about this on our way to Ole Miss game. Never trashed players. Nice try. It’s an act anyway. He spent years trashing the players in defense of Collins.
Is that actual football coach Key?Ok, now you are flying off the deep end. Collins was Caralla’s boss so maybe let’s see how he does under an actual football coach.
Collins is gone -drown yourself in a bottle of Scotch. Come back after the hangover -we’ll still be here.
Taking current players is toxic. Being a douche is toxic. Constantly complaining about EVERY aspect of a program is toxic. Tech fans like you are only happy if the program is burning. Toxic.Toxic is such a hip word nowadays.

They will all go.Caralla needs to go too

let these kids be a little bummed that someone they grew close to is gone and not mock them. they'll move on just fine, it's not as serious as you're making it out to be.
Where did I trash players? Where have I been complaining?Taking current players is toxic. Being a douche is toxic. Constantly complaining about EVERY aspect of a program is toxic. Tech fans like you are only happy if the program is burning. Toxic.
this much i can get along with, i agree that a coach isn't meant to be your friend. but a coach is someone you should look up to and even if it's clear that collins was not someone worthy of that pedigree, some of these athletes evidently thought he was. again none of this matters ultimately, simply need to hope the next guy is good and gets these athletes where they need to be.Eh, there is a lot to unpack here. They might have liked Collins, but that wasn’t his job. His job was to elevate them as players. Hopefully that included elevating them as men as well. But like my comments of J Thomas, Collins professional demeanor probably cost him a draft pick. We he same may be true of Carpenter as well. Being the players friend is not always in that players best interest.
I've been calling for Caralla to go for two years. Our team is slower and weaker than before. That's on him.Ok, now you are flying off the deep end. Collins was Caralla’s boss so maybe let’s see how he does under an actual football coach.

Fair enough.Caralla should have just said thanks for giving me and job and easy money. He’ll be gone next year too. Every person on this staff should be gone. Seriously, we are a joke until the next coach gets here.
Let's start by not calling them "kids". Never understood that.18-22 year olds rushed the beaches of France and defeated Hitler. @GT flunkout and I were talking about this on our way to Ole Miss game.
