Kiffin and Ole Miss sued over mental health issues

Yes, and this is why it was so totally bogus for the tandem of Miss/Miss State to blackball us back in 1978. Nobody wanted to play them in MS. Even UK only played in MS 4x between 1944 and 1961. The rest were in KY or in Memphis. Even LSU, who played Miss 48x between 1902 and 1964, only played in MS 9x, and 3 of those were in Jackson. Alabama, after starting off with three straight in MS (1907, 09, and 10), between 1912 and 1964, played Miss 15x - never in the state of MS. Auburn, prior to 1964 only played Miss 6x, never once entering MS.

Check this website out, if you haven't already. It's very informative.
But hey, they voted South Carolina in instead of us, so now they get to visit beautiful Columbia, SC.

Pretty much every decent head football coach in the history of football coaches is a jackass that is tough on players and pushes them to not act like pussies.
Wrong. See: Geoff Collins
Insert the word “successful” and you’re spot-on.

There was a dude on my hall when I was at GT who locked himself in his dorm room threatening to commit suicide. I remember the cops coming and everything. He had a mental breakdown. We all went through crap there but some kids can't handle pressures or there's truly something mentally going on or a host of other factors (personal, etc.) on top.

I honestly don't care either way how this ends up, all I want is for this to cause enough of a distraction for our guys to go out there and take care of business.
I think we’re more distracted by it than they are.

Here's the good stuff

The former player suing Kiffin recorded the following conversation:

"

"Ok, you have a f---ing head coach, this is a job, guess what, if I have mental issues and I'm not diminishing them, I can't not see my f---ing boss," Kiffin said, according to the lawsuit and the audio recording. "When you were told again and again the head coach needs to see you, wasn't to make you practice, wasn't to play a position you don't f---ing want to, ok? It was to talk to you and explain to you in the real world, ok? So I don't give a f--- what your mom say, ok, or what you think in the real f---ing world, you show up to work, and then you say, 'Hey, I have mental issues, I can't do anything for two weeks, but if you change my position I won't have mental issues.'

"I guarantee if we f---ing called you in and said you're playing defense, would you have mental issues?"

"I definitely would," Rollins said.

During the audio exchange, Rollins is heard saying, "I mean, you're acting like my issues aren't real."

"I didn't say they're not real," Kiffin responded. "You show up when your head -- when your boss wants to meet with you. It wouldn't have been like this. If you would've come here when you kept getting messages the head coach wants to talk to you, you say 'I'm not ready to talk to him.'"

"I wasn't," Rollins said.

"What f---ing world do you live in?" Kiffin asked.

"I don't see why you have to be disrespectful, honestly," Rollins said.

"Get out of here," Kiffin said. "Go, you're off the team. You're done. See ya. Go. And guess what? We can kick you off the team. So go read your f---ing rights about mental health. We can kick you off the team for not showing up. When the head coach asks to meet with you and you don't show up for weeks, we can remove you from the team.

"It's called being a p---y," Kiffin said. "It's called hiding behind s--- and not showing up to work."

What do y'all think? Does this kid have a case or is he truly being a baby?
Kiffin 100% correct. Stop being an entitled pussy

I hope the kid gets a payday from the school, cause his football career is done. Taping a coach without him knowing about it? Wow. Not sure any other coach would sign up for that. As a matter of fact, not sure many companies that would sign up for that. I hope he has a plan B for life after football.

There was a guy there my in my time who had about a 3.9 or something really high in EE who shot himself on the steps of the student center. I see stories about suicides at Tech every so often. I visited the mental health place when I was there, got through it.

He happened to be near the top left on his page in the annual, didn't know him but have looked at his picture and thought, "Damn man."

Taping his coach tells me he knew he was gone, so he decided to try to set up his coach for a lawsuit. Nobody is
owed a spot on the team. Lots of players who work hard and follow the rules get culled because they are not
deemed productive enough. This guy wouldn't even show up to meetings. How many of us could keep a job if
we didn't show up for meetings? If the guy is really mentally unstable rather than just irresponsible maybe he
shouldn't be playing football in the first place.

Probably recorded because Kiffen was an asshole to him about it before.

I would have handled it like Key handled Sims. Say little. You're not practicing with the team or travelling with the team or training with the team or eating with the team until you get the "help" you need
