Maybe choice has been made

Nat Dorsey.

Based on me watching him put Julius Peppers on his ass on a Thursday night

I got to see Champ Bailey in person, play football and run track, and saw Peppers in person in football and hoops. An otherworldly athlete. Peppers played tailback in high school. At 6-7.

meant to say saw Champ in high school.
saw Peppers in college at UNC for nearly every home game his freshman year.
How that UNC team with Kris Lang, Jason Capel and the vastly overrated Ed Cota made the Final Four I will never know.
But I digress....

Auburn buddy of mine wants them to take a strong run at Lane and if he says no, then get Prime Time.

I ran 110m high hurdles against Boss. Did not go well.

Penn State got worse under O'Brien, then they got better when he left. Mediocre to poor head coaching resume. Yes, scandal, so what. It's football, and it's not like there was some mass exodus of players.

Who else's prior college head coaching experience consisted of taking over a team for two seasons and doing worse? Hmm.

Then O'Brien was mediocre as a pro coach.

I see a weak resume. No thanks. Next!

so what? this wasn't just any ordinary college football scandal. This wasn't free cars from boosters or envelopes of cash stuck under hotel room doors the night before a game. This was the sad and ugly demise of a beloved coach that damn near tore apart the entire university.
He took over a completely broken program at that point and managed to squeeze out 8 wins that first year. He had a major rebuilding program on his hands after the ouster of Joe Pa, including the NCAA cutting nearly half their schollies over a four-year period as punishment. (More genius from the NCAA - punish players for something they had nothing to do with instead of going after the truly guilty parties).
O'Brien was a pretty bad GM in the NFL, granted. But no one knows the full extent of the mess he stepped into in Happy Valley. It was Miserable and Angry Valley at that point.

Ugh, I hope there’s nothing to this. People tend to overuse the Chan comparison, but I think it’s accurate here.

Wouldn't hate it in a vacuum. A lot would depend on who his coordinators/assistants he brings in and how much emphasis is placed on recruiting. I've never thought of him as some sort of genius coach, but I'm also confident he could at least get us back to respectability.

I just hope we don't zero in on him from the jump due to his Tech ties, similar to the way it seemed we zeroed in on Collins from the get-go because he was a guy who "understood Tech" and "wanted to be here."

Heard from someone in the coaching fraternity today that BOB will be our next HC., i hope this is not true.
Haven't followed one of your posts in quite some time. Now I remember why. You're still full of öööö.
