Mike Daniels resigns

I’m not sure but here’s what I know:

a. If GT even seemed to have partially violated a portion of an obscure rule that other “major” sports factories are breaking in full view of the NCAA, we will get hammered as a warning to those other schools.

b. If a factory school is braking a rule GT is not currently breaking, the NCAA will launch a huge investigation to catch GT in some obscure technicality like false representations and double punish us for not admitting guilt ahead of time.

c. If GT plays another school that is breaking the rules but not flagrantly enough to gain a significant enough advantage to beat us, the NCAA rules will be changed to put us at a competitive disadvantage and triple punish us for our success.

Those are the 3 most likely outcomes in most scenarios.

Aka the @GTRules

Here's a crazy theory.....Perhaps he got offered a permanent position elsewhere and GT could not guarantee him a job beyond this season so he left.

Dontae gives a lot of effort, but he is an absolute liability in pass protection this season and has been trying to bounce everything outside too early even when the lanes are there. Hopefully Eley can get him sorted.
Why do you think this? Hall is statistically one of the worst rated pass blockers on the team.

Given that he probably has nothing to do with the running game for the past two games - and we've won - I don't see this as a big loss.

Please share your stats that say Dontae is a better pass blocker. Key explicitly stated that Hassan got the start at Pitt for this reason.
The stats are behind a paywall. It's been discussed in other threads by other people also. It could be Hall was a better blocker in practice or maybe just the Clemson game, but the live game numbers season to date are not good for Hall when it comes to pass blocking.

PFF? It's not always best. I'll trust the coaching staff's judgement over theirs

The inexpensive option is to go watch game replays. Start with dook & work your way backwards. After a bit, I think the picture will be clearer.
