Mobile Homers vs. Golden Domers OFFICIAL THREAD!

That was in the 1950s. There are tons and tons of reasons why our programs have gone different directions since then.

Not disputing ... but just an observation. As late as 2000 we had a team that could be competitive with Bama. Maybe not beat them but atleast NOT be embarrassed.

I don't think we can say the same thing today.

It goes way way deeper than just "wanting" to be good at football.

Like what? Alabama has close to an 80% grad rate for football players and hasn't been in trouble with the NCAA since Saben. What is it they do that is so bad?

That is one great football team. I don't like 'em, but I do appreciate them. They can play.

"Notre Dame could play these guys 20 times and never beat them."

- Lou Corso in the post game.

Too bad Alabama was not able to play against a deserving team in this game.

I hoping the playoff setup will get rid of these overblown teams.

So they beat ND in the semifinals and Oregon or ugag in the title game. What is going to change?

Lacy shifted his feet in ways I have not seen RB's do in a long time. Looked like he was skiing moguls. Dorsett was great at this, so was Barry Sanders.

They win.

Nobody likes a winner. It's that guy in high school who was first in class for 3 straight years. öööö that guy. He must be a cheater.

I wish we COULD be as good as Alabama, (or Geoegia, for that matter)

they do everything within the rules in ways that make you question the rules...

grad assistants being ex-coaches; oversigning; medical hardships, etc.

If it is within the rules they aren't doing anything wrong. Right?

if you think the rules and the body that oversees their application are what govern right and wrong in this case then I suppose so.
