Mr. Swilling speaks of UNIs

Well that is certainly a depressing story. Who do you think staffs the phone line for tickets? Geniuses?

Ironically, one of my recent "personal ticket agents" just happened to be the daughter of a friend of mine that I worked closely with in our youth sports association for a long time. She went to UGA, and was working as a ticket agent in the GT ticket office.

She probably didn't care all that much about whether you bought your cheap seats in Row 1 or Row 21. Sad but true.

So the buck stops with the staff operator and it is just out of the AD's hands to do anything? He is just a helpless bureaucrat? It is part of the reason we have the reputation we have. We have let it fester for decades. Even my girlfriend, who moved up here from Sarasota after HS to go to college at Berry, said "GT fans just seemed to look down their nose at everyone and weren't very friendly" when I asked her why she moved up here and chose UGA as her team. The perception is there. We won't gain fans until we get a strong leader that can change that.

I know the ticket person didn't care. It permeates the entire athletic department. I hope we choose wisely on the new AD.

I think it is like anything else in customer service. If you are treated badly, you have to escalate and let the higher up management know about the situation. Maybe the person didn't know how to operate the system. Maybe the system was not operating properly at the time. Could be many reasons why they were not able to move you to the rows you asked about.

Pitt actually has a great marketing campaign that's appealing to us sidewalk fans. Similar market...good school, big city, huge in-state rival. Might be worth considering for the GTAA

"My City. My Panthers"

Hella inviting/inclusive. Don't know much about their fan base or if it's helping sell tickets, but I like it.

because paint on plastic and dye in fabric are extremely difficult to match. If you ever look at the white on white combos any team wears the whites aren't even the same color.
Well we did pretty well for yrs....old pants we wore VA GA southern matched well

Correct.

Up until the old gold went away in 1993, it seemed to match fine.

The vegas gold that was brought in in 1994 caused the variance.

The absolute worst is going into a DQ and they don't have the full menu. I've been to a couple that only have the desserts and hot dogs and potato chips.
Full menu = "Brazier" (i.e., a grill). Look for the sign before you stop.

I imagine a difference in materials in the uniforms has some effect, but yes those pre Vegas were much closer.

Anyway, it is out of our control, hopefully we keep trending towards a better look as we have started this season.

This is the part where I send "if we win a national title with these uniforms, nobody will care about the designer brand."
