Have you seen their out of conference schedule that helps them rack up that record? They have had a good run under Clawson, but if we get back to our historical baseline of performance, they aren't anyone we should ever worry about. If your assumption is we are going to continue to suck, then it really doesn't matter who we play.

So a 7 win avg is an up and comer and they needed 11 win to boost that. Only 2 of those wins vs. winnings teams.

Watch a game once in awhile
 
I feel like many of us are focusing on the wrong details. The permanent opponents are played every year, indeed. But the other teams all rotate EVERY OTHER YEAR. You want to play FSU more? We will now play them every other year!

I was getting so sick of UVA, UNC, Duke, Miami, VT, and Pitt every year. This gives us a ton of variety, and that's what's been lacking in the conference IMO.

I'm not outing anybody on here but I do find it funny when folks think they know more than they do and try to talk down on other folks they think are clueless.

I agree we weren't going to drop the Clemson rivalry and that will likely hurt us but I'm ok with the other two. We are 2-0 against UL and 23-8 against Wake. Those two games should be easily winnable more often than not. I also think they made us and Louisville permanent because we are the closest school to UL in the ACC. This will give them an easy travel game every other year. Wake though still confused there. I would have rather seen FSU but historically Wake should be an easier game for us to have on schedule every year.

Also, I don't mind it as much because now the way the rotation works, we will basically get a home/away game with all the rest of the acc teams every other year. There won't be any long periods of not playing somebody, and we'll have a home game with every ACC team within 4 years. Hell we've only played Wake once in the last 12 years.

I can say I will not miss the UNC and Duke crowds, every year. I found both groups to be pretty nasty and hateful people. I don't enough about Wake or Louisville. Clemson fans aren't nasty, because they walk in knowing they are gonna stomp us. I have never been to a game where we beat Clemson, so I cannot attest to their fan base.

There were two potential motivators mentioned at the time why F$U would not want Tech as an every year opponent. One was as you said, they have tons of fans in Atlanta so they already have enough ownership in the Atlanta market for recruiting purposes (they don't care if their fans can help with our attendance problem). The other was they were concerned about weakening their strength of schedule as they try to reassert their presence as a national player.

Not talking down just pointing the direction in which it came from. Wake is in fact heading in the right direction as they have been for the last 5 seasons. Not much to argue with that. I find it comical that most folks (not you) go there without knowing a damn thing about me. So I just have the same fun back (albeit a lil more unreserved). I'm just having fun. Too old to go full on ham

Believe me I have, watched too much of our games to not give credit when due. 7 wins is a miracle season for us....so yeah, there's that. Nice Facial hair. Was that the Jackass Prank gone wrong? Are those real below the waste pubes glued to your face? Are they yours or Collins'? Asking for a friend. Nice Rack bro

I'd rather lose to Wake than beat Duke. But that's me, beating Duke in anything besides on the hardwood is like kissing your sister. I'm betting a few on here know all about that

Wouldn't argue that, but our record versus the same is even worse under this clown. They'd hang 40 on us right now though. Based on what I've seen this guy do, it will take the next guy at least a season and a half to get us back to "fighting chance". Just my opinion. I would say that if we had Clawson (straight shooter, no hype) we'd be in a better position and not assuming a 2-10 season and new HC

I'm confused on the dumb part. You'd rather be GT as it sits than Wake Forest and they're position? I don't understand how anyone that has a higher than 4th grade education could think we're better than Wake or that Wake at this point is heading in a better direction than us. But I'm all ears to learn
