I agree. Both seem like an upgrade. These are moves that should have been made a year ago. From everything I've seen, I like both of the hires so far.

That was the way I interpreted Stansbury’s letter, “hires that bring new leadership on both sides of the ball”. Looking back I can see how that might just be another way of saying new offensive and defensive assistants, not necessarily coordinators. Not a Tstan hater but that’s a bit disappointing.I told you guys that Thacker wasn't getting demoted. There were never any posts or articles that said anything was happening to Thacker.
Not exactly, there was an article or tweet that said he wouldn't be in the same position next year.I told you guys that Thacker wasn't getting demoted. There were never any posts or articles that said anything was happening to Thacker.
Are we supposed to be happy about this? I mean he used to coach at UGAg, so he does have some defensive knowledge.
What are you big crying for lol, I’m genuinely curious, not too much on this guy. Please get a life.
That's a KQ fact.Pretty sure it was said he was moving into another role on defense, cant go up
you're right, it was a KQ tweet i think or maybe someone reported itThat's a KQ fact.
Beautiful family
burning is better option. theres enough uga fans out there, no need to make moreCute kids but I hope he is ready to send all that gear to Goodwill and not keep it in a box in the basement
good memory, i found it 11/28 tweetThat's a KQ fact.
too many former players. The whole conference is upgrading their coaching except in the 404.#GaTech football are expected to add Michigan State CB coach Travares Tillman a former Jacket and NFL player as DBs coach.
FOOTBALL - Tech expected to hire Tillman as DB coach
A splash hire could be imminent Travares Tillman who is currently the CB coach at Michigan State is looking to come home and would be the DB coach for the whole room CB/S. Sources close to Tillman confirmed that to JOL. Of course a former Jacket.georgiatech.rivals.com
Collins never indicated there'd be a change at DC as far as I'm aware. His statement just said he felt there needed to be changes in leadership on both sides of the ball. The "leaders" on the defensive side he's referring to are probably the two secondary coaches.
no true supporter of Tech would ever work for or wear the enemy's gear or logo.. this hire is suspect
change my mind
How about Tennessee?no true supporter of Tech would ever work for or wear the enemy's gear or logo.. this hire is suspect
change my mind
Well if Animal Housesque, could be fun times. Who is Bluto Blutarski?Oh FFS. This coaching staff is like a frat house homecoming reunion.
I'm just glad to see that we are able to lure any coaches to GT.From everything I've seen, I like both of the hires so far.
I read somewhere that he never wore red while working in the cesspool. Give him credit for that at least.I get your sentiments, but we need coaches that can coach. I could care less about the colors worn before you got here. That said, he is a former GT player…I think he’s earned the benefit of the doubt.
