official 2009/ 2010 recruiting thread

I will try to both. Pre camp about all the players and where we stand. Post camp about what all the players thought and where we stand after the camp.

Fred Holton says he is confirm on his commit and can't wait to be a yellow jacket. He's been having a lot of the bigger schools by his school lately. UGA was one of them.

Ryan white - has been offered by Arky and ECU. Also can play WR. Says he would like to play QB in college. Visiting our camp with his teammate Cody Gibson. Both have a chance to pick up offers.

Sam Gibson - has offers from UVA, Stanford, and Vandy. Says a offer from us would be a big pick up for him. If we offer he said he would for sure check us out. Really wants to play QB in college.

Gabriel Henderson - Offers from UVA and VT. Says he really likes GT and will camp here sometime. Also has said he will take one of his official visits here next year. Todd Spencer told him he is the best QB we have tape on so far.

Jonathan Carkhuff - says he likes our school a lot. But he is concerned he may not fit in this offense. Mostly because he hasn't really been a dual threat type of QB.

Devin Burns - offers from Maryland and Arky. Says GT is at the top of his list and he loves the city of ATL and really likes our offense. Plans to commit in the Fall after he takes some of his visits.

I left a few QB's off that I will add later

My take on the QB position is that we are sitting in great shape. Looks like we are only going to take one QB and we are being very selective with who we offer. The staff have told the recruits how well they play at our camp will play a big role in who we offer. If I had to guess what QB we offer I would say Devin Burns. If he did get a offer from us I think he would commit here as he wants to stay close to home and has already stated how much he liked us and the city of ATL. We should know a lot more after the camps

This would be great Eric. JAS, maybe put the breakdown as the first post, and edit as necessary, would make it easy to find and keep track of.

We are leader for Ryan Ayers still.

Ayers said his mind is completely open.

The past week has cleared a few things up for South Paulding cornerback Ryan Ayers, and for those who had perceived Georgia Tech is his favorite school.
Visits to Auburn and Georgia have leveled the playing field, which is completely natural for somebody who had only visited one school. Ayers, a 5-foot-10, 175-pound rising senior, told ugasports.com that his mind is “completely open.”

Ah thanks, Eric. Saw that this morning and just wanted to report it.

I do believe Auburn and UGA have caught up with us big time. Some believe we are tied. Some say we still lead. Only time will tell.

Ishiah johnson has visited UGA and Oklahoma ST. Says his top three in order is GT, UGA and Okie ST. Will commit at the end of the month. No way he doesn't become a Jacket.

Tyrone Cornelius is down to Miami, GT, and USC. Miami is the leader. He will decide by the end of the month.

OL tait said he really enjoyed his time at the GT camp and would be tore up if we don't offer.

QB Perro said he enjoyed day 1 at camp today. Really wants a offer. Hinted he might commit if he got a offer.
