official 2009/ 2010 recruiting thread

Isaiah Johnson has commited!

Has offers from UGA and Miami!

Even more exciting the coaches say he reminds them of a young Morgan Burnett!

Catlian Alford has committed!

Got a offer today at our Elite camp and committed right away.

Not sure if Anthony Williams has committed or not. But he is spending the night on campus.

Morgan Bailey is the latest commit. Had offers from GT, USC, FSU and Clemson to name a few.

Awesome. Was Morgan your expected 7th, or was he a surprise to you? Is there more to look forward to today? I'm getting greedy now.

No he was not my expected 7th. I think we pick up a couple of more commits next week.

Ryan Ayers said he had a great visit. Then said he almost pulled the trigger and committed. Will visit UGA one more time and then make a decision.

I would say were close to number one with Anderson. I would prefer Anthony Willams, and ealy over him though.

Close to #1 with Henry Anderson? Really? I thought he would have been a long shot to come to GT. If UGA offers I see him committing there on the spot.

Did Jeff Luc enjoy his visit? I saw a story on Scout titled "Luc feels love in Georgia".

I don't have a subscription to Scout (or Rivals), so I can't read it. I know that we might not be in the picture, but I was just curious about his visit.

He didn't really visit much, just passed through for a few hours. Talked positively about us though and seemed to like our coaches. The article on scout has him speaking more favorably of Georgia where he camped, stayed over night and in all likely hood was treated to a night on the town by some players. He is going on a multi school tour over the next few weeks, everyone seems even as of now. If we can be one of his five visits we may have a shot, but he seems a football factory type, probably UM or UF. His videos are the most rediculous display of athletic dominance I have ever seen out of a GT recruit.

Anthony Williams has cancelled his visits to other schools. Not sure when he will decide.

B.J. Bostic and Charles Perkins will enroll in January according to Rivals.com

I assume the only impact is that they'll be able to practice in the spring - our '10 recruiting numbers are still limited by the 85 total scholarships.
