Seven year automatically renewing contract so he has time to rebuild the program.

I don’t think you understand. That pussy level öööö of running OOB on 4th down to end a game without ever trying to make a play and then going into a presser and saying basically “öööö it, I decided to take the loss” should have been the end. He should not be dressing out for games. He should not be playing QB, I don’t care how many guys we are down.

I do understand. I hate it, and it pisses me off.

But I also understand that it's not realistic to cut him when the two next best options you could come up with were "play without a QB" and "punt on first down." That's not fair to the rest of the team and is not something any coach would do.

People aren't going to like to hear this, but t a loss to Miami with our third string QB after the second stringer got hurt leading what was shaping up to be a game-tying touchdown drive is not going to remove Key from contention.

If Batt didn't want Key, then sure, this allows him to end it. But if Batt was thinking Key was the right guy before this game, this isn't going to change anything.
It's not based on one game. We are looking for likely 2 more losses, can't keep him with that record.

It has been on for awhile. We can entertain multiple candidates at the same time.

but, yeah, Key is basically out of contention now
Last week brought him back into the conversation, though now of course it is easy to just write it off as beating a weak VPI, it was still a win in Blacksburg. But I felt like we should have kicked this team's ass, and even before Pyron died on us we were not on our way to doing that. At this point it is just not worth considering. Key would have to do something which I think everyone here would agree is as close to impossible as football gets.

I'm rooting for him anyway.

Batt was never that dumb. I hope.

Playing a quitter who “decided to take the loss” isn’t fair to the team either.

You’re telling me, your job is on the line, game is on the line, and your best option is to put in Gibson. Put Dontae or Nate at QB and run nothing but read option.

If we're not careful, the final score is gonna look like an ass kicking.

post recipe or gtfo
#5 is the key.
