This is standard interview protocol. You just don't interview one person and call it a day. Y'all need to chill! Probably won't know anything until next week.

Well, Ken tweets it's done, then walks it back a little, says an announcement could happen Sun PM, it doesn't...

I don't know. Seems the rumors that Fritz not happening have merit.

*If* that's what happened, I think everyone here would agree with you, even the strongest Key backers.

He's trying to put 2 and 2 together like everyone else following the situation. He's not saying that is definitely what happened.

But the people who can eliminate Key from contention probably have a pretty good idea who leaked info as close as this has been held.

Can they? Part of the "leak" was that Fritz interviewed, and even that is in question.... let alone an offer being made, a deal being finalized, etc.
 
This is setting us up for the worst possible scenario. Batt is going to end up being forced to pick someone that's not his guy and then he's going to spend two years sabotaging behind his back to force him to leave and we go through all of this again in 2024 or Batt bolts before then.

Or Batt gets his guy and the boosters spend two years sabotaging behind either/both Batt or the coaches back to force one or both of them to leave. Wheee what fun.
 
Wow! Blame the Coach you do not like for leaking information so that he is removed from consideration. No one has any credible evidence that Brent Key leaked information about Willie Fritz or encouraged anyone else to do so.

Oh, by the way I have heard that Deion Sanders is leaking most of this information to the press to get the search to next week when he will then accept the job. I guess that eliminates him. Someone else told me Willie Fritz leaked to Tulane supporters that Tech was interviewing the Troy coach today. Chadwell is the likely leak that BOB is headed back to the NFL. I guess every known candidate should now be eliminated from consideration based on solid and credible information like this.
 
This is actually one disadvantage of playing a coaching search tight to the vest. People will just make stuff up and it will be taken as true simply because there's no alternative info to believe.

It will be important for everyone to remember going forward, to never trust a mother ööööing word the AJC or that ignorant cunt Schultz have to say. They are blatant ööööing frauds and I don't know why anyone takes them remotely seriously.
