Looks bad for one of Tulane’s QBs. Didn’t see an obvious leg injury but they’re carting him off.

Yeah, great trick play to just keep snapping/pitching/passing it farther backward. Maybe take that one out of the playbook.

Turned around and lost 2 more on the next play. One good thing about CPJ’s offense was that he was almost always driving the ball downfield and not goofing around deep in the backfield.

It is fitting that after VPI bitched and moaned through CPJ’s entire tenure, that they now base their offense around a running QB with option-worthy arm talent.
 
Kind of feel bad for Tulane. Imagine going 11-1 then losing your conference championship game to be 11-2. Still, you’re having one of the best seasons in program history. Then you lose your coach before the bowl game, and proceed to be losing to a bottom half, 6-6 ACC opponent. Ouch.

I wonder if the ink from the newspaper bags they put on every seat in their brand new stadium is still melted onto their bleachers. Maybe it just sucks to be Tulane in general.

Not to mention their portal QB. They’d probably be up by a few scores with him.

Think they said they were down their top 3 receivers, too.

I know bowls don’t “really” matter, but they matter to a lot of teams that have little to no chance of winning ever making the playoff (most teams), and the portal stuff is ruining them.
