There you go, talking about CPJ and ignoring CCG againum, this is literally a CPJ-based thread though. Got his name in the title and everything.

FixedBut a buddy reminded me today that after leaving GT that CCG was an NFL asst coach (17-31, 0.354) and an NFL HC (16-32, 0.333) for a total of 6 years (out of 7) before hecouldn't get another coaching gig.retired.
öööö ccg.
Doubt we'll see anything that closely resembles the flexbone. I could see Paul being helpful in terms of technique and incorporating more misdirection, pre-snap motion, etc. He's a great offensive mind, and given Jackson's particular skill set, it's worth picking his brain over how he would attack particular defenses.
Who knows, dude is skinny – but the rate of QB injury we sustained over the 10 years of the TO experiment was way, way, way lower than people were constantly predicting. Nesbitt's injury – by far the most significant in that time – was from trying to tackle a guy on an interception. Had nothing to do with the TO.Would Jackson last more than 1 quarter running the triple-O?

I have an insider at the Raven's camp. They were installing a "draw em offsides on 4th down and short" play.
No way we had a 20% success rate drawing them offsides. 10% tops.In CPJ's 11 years here, how many times did we actually run a play out of that? I would love to see how many times we:
I would guess: 95, 20, 70, 4 and 1.
- tried the draw-em-offsides play in total
- got them offsides for a first down
- called a timeout when it didn't work
- ran a play and got a 1st
- ran a play and turned the ball over on downs
I think this play was ultimately a way to see how the defense was aligned and shifted with the motion. The timeout gave us a play to run to counter their alignment. In CPJ's 11 years here, how many times did we actually run a play out of that? I would love to see how many times we:

read option was their base play with LJ under center last year. Like all option offenses in the NFL in history, it was tough to sustain down the stretch and especially in the playoffs. Read option is best suited as a situational offense in the NFL rather than your base. Russel Wilson probably runs the most read option plays of any NFL offense but he still doesnt do designed QB runs very often the past several years.I may actually watch some Ravens games this year. Jackson is fun to watch already, but if they run some legit option they could be really interesting.
öööö the Ravens. Because Ray Lewis.I may actually watch some Ravens games this year. Jackson is fun to watch already, but if they run some legit option they could be really interesting.
I'd say it only worked once per season and then everyone in the stands and watching TV would LOLZ and wonder if the other team had watched any film for the past 10 years? No way we had a 20% success rate drawing them offsides. 10% tops.
