I've been convinced by the crowded booth video.

To sumarize:

1. Very successful as a coach with UGA has an eye for talent and has gotten the most out of it.
2. Supposedly more dogs would be upset more at losing McGee than losing Monken.
3. Rebuilt Carver-Columbus from abysmal to winning state championships over 4 years.
4. Has a winning record as a college head coach (Georgia Southern as an interim)
5. Supposedly he'll open doors that Tech has never had access to before.
6. His current salary is $800k so we can give us a reasonably priced coach.
7. I have a decent feeling about the guy.

Honestly? Honestly. I want Deion (if that’s not obvious enough). But if Auburn calls, he’s not coming here — even though I think he’s an idiot to take that job with all of their program drama.

So, I could get onboard with Chadwell pretty quickly. If we hire BOB or DM, we at least know we’ll field a competent football team… even if they’ll never attract top-shelf talent here.

I’m not above poaching a good coach away from the mutts. I’d rather poach Mel Tucker though. No idea how his recruiting would compare to McGee though, so there is that.

I think your reservations about Deion and Xs and Os has merit. But when you look at the body of his work thus far. Saying he would likely do worse than what we have now has little merit if any.
I still think his upside is enormous. Definitely worth a gamble and that gamble has little risk with where we are right now. It’s Prime Time baby.

Sorry, didn't mean to that as more dumping on Deion. I'm just trying emphasize that we aren't at the floor. If we as a program become less than state or southern in the eyes of the people of GA, we're in a massive hurt. Losing like we have been is how that happens.

I have a feeling we won't be able to beat Tucker's fully-guaranteed $95,000,000 contract at MSU

Wouldn't be one of my top choices, but I wouldn't mind the hire.

Probably not, but I still don't understand what I'm supposed to glean from that link. It's basically standard coachspeak when asked about hypothetical job offers.
All the talk about his relationships with Texas high schools etc. He has ideas about where he would entertain going.
