Josh Heupel. I know he’s not on the radar, but dang he’s got TN playing a good brand of football.

Todd Stansbury saying Collins is his guy is a gimmick? Smart people follow the end of their nose. Do you even internet? It's plain as day. The new AD should make Prime Time his guy. It's a no-brainer.
I think you misread, I’m in support of Deion

Yes night and day. Allowed 40 points today rather than 45.

Why didn’t you watch the FSU game today?

Collins had what 3 in a row giving up 45? We're now top-10 turnover margin. When the offense only gets 24 yards in the first half, what do you think happens to the defense? I'm not saying he's elite, but dang some of y'all seem to change your mind about the team on a weekly basis.

I haven’t changed my mind since last week. I even said in keep Thacker thread that he was gonna öööö the bed this week.

Lol. I was jerking your chain. And I do mostly agree with you still about Thacker. Collins absence had immediate benefit.

What I do take issue with is the nonsense that all things bad (particularly Key and the OL) were only because of Collins. That is a scapegoat bridge too far.

They were facing better competition this week. And they have been left out on the field way too long with terrible O play. Pyron was awesome in the face of near zero protection.

Sorry. I'm not saying it was but that it might've been. We never seemed to prioritize getting a deep ol. Maybe I'm misremembering, but it seems like we've been thin for 3 years with lots of turnover.

The one commonality every year for Tech is maintaining quality players and any depth on either line of scrimmage. That’s what separates ok teams with good teams. 50+ year problem. Even our best lines have always lacked depth.

Georgia Tech football is a seller in a buyer's market. We would need to sell - hard - anyone we would really want. Not the other way around. Close to the old joke that I wouldn't join any club that would have me as a member.

Whoever interviews needs to be asked one question: Why do you want to coach Georgia Tech's football team? And unless he's an alum (and maybe even if he is an alum), there's really only one response I want to hear. "I'm hungry to win a bunch of games at Tech amd use this job as a stepping stone to an even bigger job."

So no retreads like Mullen, Muschamp, Mendenhall, Frost, Chryst, etc. (even if any of these guys wanted to come here anyway which I doubt). We need to hit lightning in a bottle with an up-and-comer assistant who has never had a Power 5 head coaching position. Preferably not a G5 HC position, either. All those guys either flamed out elsewhere, or if successful they're already going to be looking for something better than GT. Alternatively, maybe we could hire a total rehab project like Art Briles.

My ideal hire would be Garrett Riley, if we could possibly tempt him with his first HC opportunity. Is that a reach . . . maybe?

Next up would be Corey Dennis.

Other guys I would try to hire include Morgan Scalley, Kenny Dillingham, Kendal Briles. Maybe Liam Cohen.

I am with you.

We said the same thing about thacker, but the d has been night and day. How much of the OL is key vs Collins not being able to recruit OL?
The d has not been night and day. The d has been fortunate up to this point.

defense gave up 300 yards in the second half even after offense started getting first downs and playing better.
they are just as culpable in this ass beating as the offense is
