He isn't coming to GT. It's never going to happen.
GT would be a good step for him. It’s a place where he could build a program with very low expectation. At Auburn, you have to beat Alabama and LSU to have a good season. At GT, we’ll tear down the goalposts for UNC and Duke.

If Cabrera and J tell him he can do whatever he wants, it’s probably the best move for him.

All the talk about his relationships with Texas high schools etc. He has ideas about where he would entertain going.

Yeah, I guess I just didn't get that out of it at all. Looks like he was specifically asked about why he was invested in a school like JSU and he answered by saying he was invested in the local youth, which again seems like pretty standard coachspeak.

Ultimately I agree that he's not coming to GT, but the quotes from that article don't really sway me one way or the other about his future intentions.

I have a bad feeling we will end up with someone with a similar resume as the last guy. Group 5 with a nothing special record or has moved around every few years.

Please watch coastal Carolina today. I don’t think Sanders is realistic. Chadwell is imo. Get a feel and report back
Chadwell isn't proven at D1/P5 and we haven't seen anything from COASTAL CAROLINA to take that chance. He's decent where he is and that's all we know. A solid NO. Same for Prime Time.

I'm all in for Deion. We need a boost that I think only he can provide. All these other names being thrown around isn't going to recruit 4 or 5 stars to Tech period. Atleast with Deion we have a chance.

8-0 with College Gameday coming to an HBCU game is a gimmick? First time making Jackson State relevant is a gimmick?
Some might consider bringing FBS talent and money to an FCS school a gimmick, yeah. If he can't create the same differential at the next stop then he needs something else he is good at.

I believe I said Key wasn't the answer, from day 1. He still isn't, nor will he ever be. He can't coach. He couldn't coach the O line. What makes anyone think he can lead a team?

Todd Stansbury saying Collins is his guy is a gimmick? Smart people follow the end of their nose. Do you even internet? It's plain as day. The new AD should make Prime Time his guy. It's a no-brainer.

Sorry, didn't mean to that as more dumping on Deion. I'm just trying emphasize that we aren't at the floor. If we as a program become less than state or southern in the eyes of the people of GA, we're in a massive hurt. Losing like we have been is how that happens.
We are less than Southern and State.

I've been convinced by the crowded booth video.

To sumarize:

1. Very successful as a coach with UGA has an eye for talent and has gotten the most out of it.
2. Supposedly more dogs would be upset more at losing McGee than losing Monken.
3. Rebuilt Carver-Columbus from abysmal to winning state championships over 4 years.
4. Has a winning record as a college head coach (Georgia Southern as an interim)
5. Supposedly he'll open doors that Tech has never had access to before.
6. His current salary is $800k so we can give us a reasonably priced coach.
7. I have a decent feeling about the guy.
Remember the last coach we hired from the mutts?

We said the same thing about thacker, but the d has been night and day. How much of the OL is key vs Collins not being able to recruit OL?
