You think winning the Orange Bowl is mediocre?

2/4 = .500 You said recently.

Then we're 0.250 against Clemson "recently" with only a single victory since 2012.

Had we not gagged in 2009 and 2013 and found a way to win in 2010 and 2015, he'd be approaching bronze-statue status re:mutts.

Alas, IIWII. 30%. Nice if you're trying to hit a baseball but not so much re:winning football games.

How long does he get to live off that year? He’s won 17 games since. Which sounds impressive until you realize it has been over 3 seasons.

We’ve won more nattys than the Dwags. And won most recently. Are you stupid or just acting like it?

JT has proven difficult to replace.

Who was the QB when we won 3 games?

Like I said, he was difficult to replace. We obviously had no one to replace him with, and he was pretty badly injured during that season. Seems like maybe we lost a first round draft pick on the OL going into that season, and had numerous injuries on the OL and on defense that season. I guess you remember it differently.

We should do better against Duke, since Cutcliffe obviously knew how to shred Roof defense.

“Occasional loss” == 3 out of last 4
The last four years against our division plus Clempsen crossover we are, interestingly enough:
Duke 1-3; Pitt 2-2; UNC 1-3; Miami 1-3; Clempsen 1-3; UVA 2-2; and, wait for it, VPI 3-1.

Please don’t leave out UGa (2-2, worse than Duke)

Ha. You guys are really something. Every coach with the exception of Voldemort, that we have had here is a good coach. But there is one common denominator that all of those coaches had to deal with. The I.

Many of those coaches had penned in wins against D every year because they had zero commitment to football. Well, that has changed. As has the commitment of the rest of the ACC to football. The one thing that remains the same is the I. Could it be better? Sure. It could be better whether or not we actually change coaches. That is for sure. We have seen better, we have seen worse. If you compare our record to the ACC, we have done fairly well. It could be worse too. I would venture the downside is just as likely than the upside. But more likely we will stay about the same as we have been because of the I. We would hire someone who was perhaps competent (though we did hire Voldemort as I recall). If they did get us to an Orange Bowl, they would leave for double pay without a doubt (unlike the current guy).

Call it an excuse, I call it reality. I enjoy reality.
I acknowledge reality -- unfortunately, it is not always enjoyable ... :crapstorm:

How long do you think he should live off that year? Did you want him fired after 2015?

I was a lot more sympathetic to firing him after 2013 than I am now.

Let's keep Natty talk out of any CPJ GT conversations, of which this is. I don't care about his HS'ish championships in the 80s. We've not sniffed a natty under CPJ nor will we. How stupid can you possibly be, Colt?

1 single 2014 is more than enough for most of his fans and will get CPJ a nice retirement.

I think most of his fans want more 2014s, and would rather have a guy they know can deliver them than reshuffling the deck and ending up with who knows what.
