Post game Discussion 9.30.2023

I saw Key mouthing "it's Money Down" each third down we had on D. Rumor is he's just a figurehead and the circus is actually in control. All the "option was good" vs. "we needed to restart" is what they want us arguing about to avoid realizing they're all on the same team. Behind the scenes they all put on red noses and ride gold bicycles together.

You’re just wrong dude and a moron for assuming trolling and baiting is not done ironically, here

I wanted Deion at tech, if he can prove himself at CU, he could’ve done 100x better here for 1 or 2 years Idc. No CU fan is complaining that they’re rising from being complete öööö to covered and competing with ranked teams. Whether he leaves or not
100% false. You continue to be so damn naive to the fact that GT would not have allowed Deion to run off 70+ players for Portal additions with no academic restrictions. How does this continue to be something you just won’t comprehend?

Let’s simply this for you…..

Colorado = No academic restrictions.

GT = Academic restrictions for all HS signees and transfers.

So how exactly can you sit there and say Deion would have been 100x better? Especially considering Charles Kelly’s defense at Colorado is terrible.

Tackling has been a problem all season. Giving up yards that shouldn't be there. Buster needs to learn how to adjust or we are predictable in the second half.

The announcers mentioned Bowling Green players were eager to play Thacker’s defense in their pre-game interviews. They left no confusion why.

Thacker needs to be in the unemployment line on Monday. Key should have started fresh with a new coaching staff. Keeping Thacker only shortens his own runway. Makes one question whether this is Key’s program or if he is just performing Collins’ job marginally better.
Yeah, that stuck with me too. That RB saying our defense does not play enough guys in the box to stop the run. Announcer saying Thacker focused on pass. If our opponents know this then that's bad news.

The coaches change but some things remain constant since I've been a GT fan (1989) and that is the GT faceplant after a big win. It is so reliable you could set your watch to it.

Wait what? What big win? I'm confused by your statement.

A loss like this, first year or not, leaves a very sour taste in the fanbase’s mouths. This is exactly the opposite of what you need to rebuild interest in your program, get folks back in the seats and keep momentum in recruiting. This is the kind of öööö that sabotages everything else you’re trying to do as a first year coach. So unless he can pull a win against Miami out of his ass next week he’s gonna be playing to empty stands for the rest of the season. I’ll be there because I’m an idiot but most people won’t come to see this.
i too. an idiot. will be there.

While I appreciate the candor, this is the sort of admission that you'd have to torture me for several days straight at Gitmo to get out of me.

That is a bullshit excuse. You got your asses whipped by a physically superior team. They played harder. They executed better. They played faster. They played smarter. You did t ööööing overlook them, you got your ass whipped. Own it.

I really don't think thacker is the problem. I think the problem is lack of talent. We had a killer defense this year. This year we just don't have the dudes. We loved Thacker last year. It wasn't long ago either when BK was offensive line coach and we were calling for his head.

We are rebuilding. GC destroyed the program with significant long lasting damage. It's going to take at least 2-3 years to right the ship.

To add insult to injury they ran a commercial on the radio broadcast that had the Bowers kid from UGA selling something
A Dawg in a commercial.on a Yellow Jacket broadcast. SMH
Tuffday to be a Jacket fan

Yep, total BS. The program isn’t at a level to be overlooking anybody, if players actually felt this way then they are delusional. It’s the responsibility of the head coach to have his team prepared to play.

This team got up 14, thought the game was in the bag, and the head coach couldn’t change that mindset. I’m disgusted by this, exhausted and disgusted.

People who have been fans for decades are deserting in droves.

This is where I’m at. I’ve always thought of people who post öööö like “I’m selling all my shirts, gear, etc! I’m done with this team!” after a loss were crappy fair weather fans. I’ve been a diehard GT fan since my freshman year 23 years ago, but it’s getting really hard for me to endure this crap or even care anymore after Bowling Green, NIU, Citadel etc. At least the clown played NIU and Citadel close. A ööööing bad Bowling Green just came into our stadium and beat the öööö out of us. There is absolutely no excuse for that.

This loss feels different than the clown’s bad losses (probably because there were so many). But we were supposed to be past this öööö after we dumped that joke. But we are still mired in it apparently. After the ööööshow that was today, I’m starting to wonder if we will ever actually recover and be a *decent* team.

Listening to the radio broadcast, Joe Ham was pissed. Repeated over and over the lack of intensity, lack of pride, lack of energy, lack of urgency, asked if any of the players cared.
Everyone in the ööööing stands was thinking that. How many long yardage situations did they convert in the game? You get the sticks in your favor and allow them to come back from a 3rd and 14 with a slow ass QB just lumbering for a first down. Pieces of ööööing öööö is what they are.

How many times did BG hit a player WIDE ASS OPEN in the flats? Anyone ever gonna cover that guy.

And hey, I didn't realize that Barry ööööing Sanders played for BG, but we sure made him look the part.

Just öööö.

Key ABSOLUTELY should apologize to the fans, the recruits that showed up, and whatever network decided to air that flaming pile of öööö. He should also say that "games like this are not good for anyone's continued employment at Georgia Tech, mine foremost."

A friend of mine had the most spot-on critique of Gailey I ever heard.

“That guy has a seven win face. That’s the best he’ll ever do.”
Gailey knew TECH did not have the fortitude to put up a championship competing team due to Institute support, money, academics and recruiting.
