Predictions for the 2022 football season

  • We come within 10 of Clemson and CGC holds a presser like he won the Superbowl.
  • We lose to WCU by 3 on a turnover and CGC is real proud of the improvement on the field, talks about the turf monster until 11pm.
  • Ole Miss throws 7 picks, we beat them by 2, and fans hear about the SEC win all week.
  • Lose the next 9 games by double digits. Each consecutive week, someone leaves the athletic program.
  • By week 12 there's no one to set up the A/V equipment for pressers, so CGC elevates our product by hosting an innovative Zoom call with the media.
  • CGC forgets to put on a background filter and everyone sees a desk covered with Magic 8 balls arranged in the shape of a crown. Brent Key is chained under the desk.
  • Stansbury, clad in a black robe, steps in to turn on the background filter.
  • Muffled thumps are heard on audio for the rest of the presser.
  • 1 year extension.

I ööööing hate you.

There’s no reason we shouldn’t win at least 7 games. Our opponents are almost all in shambles. The only loss that’s close to guaranteed is uga. Every other game is, or at least should be, winnable.

Ultimately, we have another 3 win season. Collins uses his word salads and excuses. People are stupid enough to believe them. Geoff comes back next year, as head coach. That is what I predict in a nutshell.

Our fan base does care, our program does care, considering the last few years, I would be happy with a 4 win season this year but in the next few years we need to get back to 8+ win seasons
It is pitiful to ever say that a 4 win season would make one happy. That is indicative of what Collins has done to the program.

But for the Collins factor, I agree with you. With a mediocre head man we win 6 or 7.

He ain't coming back if we only win 3.

I think there are enough people, that are fooled and are 100% all in, on Collins. I wished I shared the same view. However; we won 3, last season. For a third year, in a row, mind you.. Yet, enough Collins lovers stepped up. Those losers will step up, next year too.

I always hope for a memorable winning season, but this year is special because it might mean that all the haters here will have to STFU. We really have a bunch of insufferable, whiny brats that don't offer anything new to the board. They just repeat the same superficial garbage, post after post after post. There is nothing wrong with criticism, but at least set aside the emotion, and try to have an original thought for a change.

I think you are way off. I don't think there is a single person that is 100% all in on Collins. There are many that are supporting him and hoping that it works, like any good fan should. He has this year to show improvement and that's it. I think there are many giving him a little benefit of the doubt due to several factors: transitioning from an option offense, COVID halting development, navigating the new transfer portal (along with NIL), multiple un-foreseen player career ending injuries and even 2 deaths. Most new hire coaches take until around year 3 to really show progress unless they are stepping in to a team with a loaded roster and it's just basically plug and play. I think you would be hard pressed to find ANY new hire coach in the last 30+ years that has stepped into a tougher situation than CGC. That's why I think folks are giving him a little longer and I don't know of anybody supporting him that disagrees with me. It seems to be the staunch detractors like you are the only ones that think anybody is all in 100% for CGC.

You are wasting your time. He reads this board and yet he still acts like there is some Geostapo out in force among our fanbase defending their fave. It simply is not true. But people who are full of hate need enemies, real or imagined.

3-9 x 3 plus 100-0

What more do you need to know? Collins is easily the worst coach in Tech history. I will be shocked if we win more than 3 this year.

I'm not expecting to win 10+ games every year and I'm not blind to the challenges here but we should at least win 6-7 games consistently.

I have no hate. I am just smart enough, to notice a bad coach and call it out. What I fail to understand is why so many keep falling for Collins' BS lies, excuses and word salads. I want GT to succeed. I just know we won't do that under Collins. As for the the "force of fans defending Collins". Yes, there is plenty of them. I have ran into them. I thought Johnson was ok, as a coach. He wasn't the best of the best. However; is wasn't the worst of worst. Collins is teetering towards that worst of the worst area.
