It will take 6-6 or worse for Butch to be gone. Honestly, I don't want to blow it up and start all over. We have an outstanding 2018 recruiting class and overall this is the best coaching staff we've had on campus in a long time.

No it doesn't come as a shock to me that every program has injuries. Football is a very violent game, we just had an unprecedented amount of injuries last season. Does that mean we should've lost to South Carolina and Vandy? Hell no. That also doesn't mean it didn't impact our season. 17 starters missing games, including 3 of our top 4 defensive players missing signicant time will have a negative impact on the season. We should've won the East, we were the best team in the East, and despite what Butch says, it was a disappointing season.

I'm not really concerned with what Cowherd says when it comes to Tennessee football. I actually enjoy his show most of the time, but I'm going to disagree with him on this one. I think if we lose to you guys, Florida, UGA, Bama and LSU, that seat will be white hot. We win 2 of those he's fine. We have to beat one of UF, UGA, or LSU for sure. We get 2 of those at home.

So Butch is as good as fired. At best you are gonna go 2/5 with UF, UA, GT, UGAg, and LSU. If you get beaten up by GT and play lackluster against Indiana State 5 days later, you may lose 8 to 9 games.

I believe we are 1 of 2 schools that have never lost 8 games. We won't lose that many games, probably 3 or 4.

I can easily see you going 6-6. You talk about injuries but you also had unbelievable unicorn type luck in a few of your wins last year. That was with a team that was supposed to win the East. Could have easily been 6-6 last year. You should benefit from Kirby Goff being a uga as he looks like a worse game day Coach than Butch. Curious when you guys think you have a shot at beating Bama again? I can remember when you guys beat them like 7 or 8 in a row.

Maybe, but it's still better than 3-9, but I don't need to tell you something that you already know.

I agree we had some crazy wins and some very surprising losses. I think it all equaled out.

In 2015 we had the lead on Bama with less 3 minutes to go and had a chance to win. As long as Saban is there it's almost a guaranteed L, which I hate saying. They are just a machine. One thing Tennessee and GT have in common is that we both have the two toughest crossover opponents in the country every season.

I legitimately cant imagine the recent history between Tennessee and Alabama in our rivalry. If I had to watch Georgia do what you've watched Alabama do, I would have killed myself years ago.

It's sickening. Although, this year I think they might be a little more vulnerable than usual. I can hope at least.

But most Bama fans I know think of Auburn as their hated rival.

I hope so. I honestly hope you guys go apeshit after we play, but it's hard to buy in. I didn't realize it until today, and maybe I'm mistaken, but you guys seem thin as hell at almost every offensive position. Defense isn't nearly as bad, but there seems to be a lot of straw and sticks on the other side of your 2-deep.
