Realistic expectations

First post racism, bold strategy.

And I ööööed your mom.
You are an uneducated dolt. No way - no WAY - you have a Tech degree. Even in IM (which really doesn't count anyway).

"To call a spade a spade" entered the English language when Nicholas Udall translated Erasmus in 1542. Famous authors who have used it in their works include Charles Dickens and W. Somerset Maugham, among others. Its origins literally trace back to the ancient Greeks in the 1st century AD, and it may be much older than that.

Why you would think it is racist is mindboggling.

Bull öööö. Guys here were cumming in their underwear after the win against UNC last year making us 2-2, with close losses to UNI and South Carolina Cow College. We turned the corner!!!! Yeah into the path of an oncoming train called Pitt.

CGC gets us to 4-3 and the CGC approval poll here will show at least 90% approval.
Wow, um, ok. None of what you so elegantly said has anything to do with what I said. I said he wouldn’t get an extension in the middle of the season - especially not at 4-3. That has nothing to do with any fan approval rating. Maybe take a Valium and try again.

"the fact that you are already complaining about some posters showing signs of excitement over a winning record shows how ridiculous your opinion is."

I wasn't complaining. I stated how the posters here would react if we started 4-3. If you want to dispute that, then you are plainly just full of öööö. Which is what my previous post "so elegantly said." And that is ALL about "fan approval rating."

You can reasonably disagree about him getting extended at 4-3, but you did NOT just say "he wouldn’t get an extension in the middle of the season - especially not at 4-3." You said a lot more than that.

Maybe try reading your own posts next time, Sport. And it works better if you're sober when you do it.

So why have you been watching since the mid 70’s? The NCAA has been allowing it and protecting the top tier for over 50 years and you are now fired up about it? Alabama and Georgia are doing the exact same thing they’ve always been doing. Nothing new here. I will continue to watch college football because it’s the same sport it has been.
No. Coaches weren’t making more money than the entire faculty combined 30 years ago. Conferences did not have discrepancies of tens of millions of dollars per team for belonging to a conference 10 years ago. Big programs were not able to raid and steal smaller teams programs starters 2 years ago without the player losing a year of eligibility. Alumni were not able to pull together millions of dollars and throw them at recruits legally 2 years ago.

Your argument is that people have always committed murder. That is true. But murder has never been legal. That’s a game changer. You will see.

So this Udall guy, pretty big racist then. Dickens too apparently. And Erasmus and pretty much all the ancient Greeks. And you might be the worst of all, defending their hurtful language.

This may be something already brought up once or may be a "tabboo" topic to discuss. It's my first post, so forgive me, if I am breaking any rules. I cannot express my concerns and beliefs on another like site, without making snowflakes mad. I call a spade a spade, a bad coach a bad coach and a stupid AD a stupid AD. I see no reasons to hold back. WIth that said... What are everyone's realistic expectations going into next season? I, personally, see 3, maybe 4 wins.. After which the same group of "fans" will flock to Collins' side, saying how "great" he is. Just curious, if I am the only person that can see through the muck... I expect to have more narratives, I expect to continue to see the pass/fail line move over and over. Lastly, I expect more kids to get tired of Collins' BS and leave. I expect that after the 2024 season, which will be another losing season, both Collins and the AD are fired. However; at that point the damage is done. Again... I may be the only person, that sees this. Help me understand why I should have a remote shred of hope.
Thanks for posting, in general I feel alot of our fans, StinGTalkers feel exactly the way you do. But there is quite alot of the option was garbage fans and the option was awesome fans that we both cancel ourselves out in our opinions and disagreement in this very same discussion.
Then again as you pointed out the coaching hasn't been there or so it seems with him in charge and only time will tell, I personally hope CGC succeeds and turns it around. Cheers
Where does his grammar suck, unless you consider obvious typos or shortcuts poor grammar. If that is the case, then probably 90% of the posters on this site are guilty of sucky grammar. I bet you too are guilty of it. As far as perusing other threads, he just this morning joined this site. Do you expect him to "peruse" the hundreds of previously posted threads to find out what has been or is being said by others? Maybe you have time to waste like that, but I can guarantee you that few others do.

Lawyers have plenty of time to waste and are extremely efficient at typing up paragraphs to intimidate others. At the end of the day it's still just a opinion and everyone has one.

Edit: Nevermind. I’m not going to keep going down that road with you. You’re not worth it.

Yeah, that sounds like something a racist would say.

BTW, you really need to find another schtick than this played out “no way you went to Tech” bullshit. You sound like an asshole, and it’s pretty rich coming from a guy that’s either too dumb or too cheap to be able to watch basketball games so he cries about it on a message board.

The interesting question is, if we get off to a 1-4 start, would it be better to make a decision halfway through the year and give us time to find someone, or do we wait until the end of the season when the buyout decreases a little and hope we can find someone still on the market then?
Not at all.

If the current football coach starts this coming season 1-4, which has a good chance of happening, it's Stansbury who is in danger during the season. The donor Whales made it very clear that Stansbury understands he has staked his career at Tech to the football coach's success in 2022. If the season trends bad, Stansbury will not be making the next football coaching hire, so he would be first in line to be escorted out of the Edge with his personal belongings in a box. The cost to replace him is much less than the cost to replace the football coach mid-season, and the new AD would bring his own personal list of head coaching candidates that every competent AD keeps up to date, and have a head start in landing his choice as the next football coach.

There's no benefit to Stansbury to change football coach mid-season other than trying to score PR points to save his own job, but I think that ship sailed after last season. If anything, it would be fiduciary malpractice to not wait until the buyout reduces, because the cost to the program will be the same as it was this past December when some of the Whales wanted a change to be made. and they will not be very forgiving to Stansbury, Besides, there are no interim coach candidates on this staff who would miraculously turn the team into bowl-eligible the rest of the season, so the legal change in football coach would be made after the lost season is over.

I don’t see us having a losing record and beating Georgia. But if Collins wins in Athens, I would be happy for him to stay another year. Wins over the Mutts are too infrequent. I am not firing a coach whose last game was a win over Georgia.
I think almost all of the people who signed the Declaration of Independence were lawyers.

One might say the same about you and what you think
Oh, I agree. But why rehash the same old horsesh*t? I like new horsesh*t better.

He’s your friend and I want him to be my friend as well. Heck, we all want to be friends with him. I dare say CGC wants to be friends with him. So, work with him on the quality and freshness of his horsesh*t.

Like I said, he's new posting on this site, and he didn't know how much of what he was saying had already been said.

That’s my prediction. Just who is the interim is the question.

You are trying to use todays aspects to talk about the past. It doesn’t work that way. The factories have always been cheating and pushing limits but I agree they were doing it in different ways than today so it’s hard to draw examples. For instance, remember the ”scholarship” issue back in the day with the Bear putting football players on the swim team. Did that end the sport? Nope, but people hated it. So the rule was changed and guess what? Bama still found other ways to win. The factories are factories no matter what the “current” butt hurt is. Everything you said is true, but there has always been issues of the day. And not one team has ever stolen a player from another team. Players make decisions to leave. Did GT steal Tashard Choice when he transferred? And if he did why wasn’t our fanbase up in arms about us stealing him? Bama did not steal Gibbs. He left of his own free will. Just like every player “we stole”. And to your last analogy, murder has absolutely been legal in college football and endorsed by the NCAA. I guess that’s where we disagree. I’ve been watching the NCAA allow murder my entire life (Miami, USC, ND, Switzer, Dooley, Bryant, and on and on). You believe “this” murder is worse than all previous murders. I disagree because teams who followed the rules lost millions over the decades.

First post is a new thread, calling out “snowflakes”? Huh?

And who calls Collins “great”? I’ve never heard that from one person, even his semi-defenders. Not once.

Meh, guy is prob a dwag

4 tops
It’s fans like you salivating at potential losses to Clemson ole miss UCF and the mutts that’s pathetic
Salivating? Well apparently there’s life on pluto

in what realm of reality do you think we’re capable of beating any of the above based …hell the last 7 yrs

enjoy your chocolate milk and don’t forget to snag that front bus seat

You mean Tech has people who whine about how everything they don't like is "racist"? I didn't know that, guess we aren't any different than the rest of the diploma mills.
