Haha. I can do some chicken this year.I went in there to buy a polo or a hat, came out having spent $100 on the new replica. I'm not going near any ribs with this one.
I agree with you, and it is curious that Stansbury did not more clearly recognize this was important to the fan base. And regardless of what colors you purchase, it will be the colors purchased by ALL OUR FANS that will determine the brand, unfortunately.
White, gold, blue.... wear purple if you want. Just buy something with at GT logo and spend money on the programs.
Not true, Pooh. I was whining about the apparel before the uniforms came out. Incidentally, I find the uniforms quite attractive. But the polos and other fan apparel does lean toward the blue. You are right, the white is difficult for fans to wear. To be avoided because it is hard to keep clean, and easy to ruin with food, coffee, or underarm stains. So we are stuck with goldish or navy. Could be worse. Our fans dont even wanna wear white during a white out, they all wear blue öööö. Wtf are yall talkin about? It hasnt been a full day since they came out with the new uniforms and yall are already whining about stupid öööö.
We did not look like caca in 1990, nor in the mid 80's. Blue has a place in our tradition on the field. I would rather see more gold on the spectators, however.Sigh
We are gonna look like öööö under Adidas.
The only reason blue is an issue is because some rich alum decided a while back to throw a funding hissy fit over blue being in uniforms a while back. Seems that people haven’t been able to let go of following that.

We God dang better...And hit the quarterback!
Would it help you knowing that the color doesn't really matter? All that does matter is us showing up and the boys out there kicking ass. Now they need our help. I'm not young enough anymore to kick ass out there on the field. I'm only able to show up or buy GT stuff. Maroon, khaki, gold, yellow, orange, purple, pink, it doesn't matter. Quit being a bitch and do something besides jabber. If you tune in and have trouble understanding who you are pulling for then you are lost. GT f'n GTIt's important because I'd rather not have to check if I'm watching Pitt, Notre Dame, Navy, or Marist-St. Pius when looking for the Tech game.
I can begrudgingly accept Navy as piping or lining colors, but it's over emphasized in our practice gear, coaches polos, and fan apparel.
Frankly, it's a lazy, boring choice for most men sartorially. And it reinforces the grey-haired, tightwad, boring middle manager image of our fanbase.
If you get sauce on one then buy another. Not true, Pooh. I was whining about the apparel before the uniforms came out. Incidentally, I find the uniforms quite attractive. So you want to look like 80% of the other teams? NahWe did not look like caca in 1990, nor in the mid 80's. Blue has a place in our tradition on the field. I would rather see more gold on the spectators, however.
I know when to get the red out.If these things didn't matter then why did we spend over a year working on colors, and logos, and randomness.
Bitching about minutiae is the best part of being a Tech fan.
This. I was 16 years old wearing dickies, white tee and Chucks. Just show up and be loud.Would it help you knowing that the color doesn't really matter?
