Sims 2020 Turnover Total

You are jumping thread the thread about our lack of football knowledge and you throw out THE problem with this team is a viable TE threat.

The 1 catch for 15 yards against FSU is the difference between what’s happened since then.

So you think a TE is only valuable when he catches a pass. That's cute.

He definitely has the talent and poise but I’m not confident that the coaching staff has what it takes to develop him. We have to protect him and give him confidence when he steps up to throw. I’d hate for him to be another Reggie.

Let's wait and see where we are at the end of the season. I hope Brown isn't done for the season. That's gonna suck.

I want you to say again the blocked kicks, poor secondary play, pre snap penalties, poor game management, overall just dumb penalties, poor play calling, etc are all based on TE play.

Say it, dumbass.

Who thinks he will eclipse 100 turnovers?
Being more serious, he could probably crack 25.

Next game he probably won't play after his third TO, game after that he'll get pulled after 3 more. Might get benched for a game or two after that, but once we realize we have zero other QBs who can play, we'll stick him back in and suck it up, and he can crank out 4 or 5 in those games to make up for the loss of playtime.

25 is totally doable.

It helps that our D gets scored on so quickly as well, because that gets us the ball faster so we can turn it over again.

What's the NCAA record for turnovers by a single player?

I've already said the kicking game is the #1 issue. Lack of TEs is a contributing factor, but at some point we are going to have to be able to line up and kick a routine FG to win a game.

He probably could've but if we lose Brown for the season he'll be needed at WR.
We have more depth at WR than at TE. He could switch back when the Dylans return. I would think at fifth year senior could handle the transition. It might actually increase his chances to play on Sundays,

I want to be clear I think he could be great but having a great first game might have gone upstairs.

Agreed regarding the psychological part of it. Maybe the offensive game plan needs to be simplified enough for the entire offense to gain a little confidence in itself..everything from snap count to the passing game.

Yeah, if I were Camp I’d be begging to move to TE after seeing the success of Waller. He’s not a NFL receiver but he’d definitely get a look at TE. That would open up a WR slot for one of the younger WR’s who haven’t seen the field yet, ie McCollum.

"At some point" will probably be next year, so we have lots of time to get the kicking game straightened out.

I’ll take Sims and his interceptions this year over what I saw from Yates in garbage time. I’d rather he work out his issues this year with game experience and become a baller in 2021.
