I think if they had offered Chadwell the job last week, then we beat UNC, and Batts wish he would have waited that he would pull the rug out from underneath Chadwell. You think?

It's all in the definition of big. Fat could also be "wide," not big, but you could be big and fat, which could also be considered long and fat.

Chizik was the one from Iowa state, malzahn was at Arkansas St., both were successful former coordinators at Auburn

Chadwell has a conference champ game the next week. I’m asking if people think that matters or affects the timing.
 
with all the recent changes to the game, lets keep it going. remove the HC postion and just have a coaching committee made up of all the coordinators, its a team sport right? hire a coordinator of coordinators who makes sure all the coordinators are coordinated. clock management coordinator, practice coordinator, recruiting coordinator

If CBK was being retained as head coach, the win at UNC would have provided the perfect timing to announce it, but that did not happen. I feel confident that Batt already has at least a handshake agreement with his chosen candidate, because he's had plenty of time to interview and offer the job ahead of the end-of-the-season rush. It's also most likely a current head coach with games to be played, who doesn't want to undermine the team chemistry before the last game. That's as much of an analysis as I will make.

Collins was not successful at the G5 level, so the comparison really isn't relevant. We selected a non P5 coach in Johnson and it worked spectacularly so I definitely am more in the Chadwell camp.

Are you suggesting that the recently hired AD has never even met with the interim head coach and discussed the status of the team and considered Brent Key's assessment and goals? What beyond that would constitute an interview?

He will have a formal sit down interview after the season is over.

I don’t see why that matters. You could announce him as head coach and he could still coach that game. It’s best for our player/recruits and their players/recruits to know sooner rather than later.
