It wasn’t on any merit what so ever. ND last won a NC in 1988. Their last major bowl win was like 1993. How much more of this do you need to see before you realize it’s over for ND and that it isn’t 1977 anymore? It’s over. Those days are looooong gone and they aren’t coming back. So many things have changed in college football since then.

They have been blown out now in 7 consecutive BCS/CFP games. How many more times do you need to see that? Are you retarded? Do you think letting these bozos back in the playoffs 4 more times will somehow cure this? You are stuck in 1977. It’s ööööing pathetic.

There's not an argument to be made that Notre Dame did not earn their place in the CFP this year. They are a joke of a program because their prestige is based on ancient history, and they have failed miserably with every title shot they've had, and they should absolutely have to join a conference if they want to play in the CFP going forward. But they belonged in that game tonight and earned the right to get murdered by a team who actually wanted it.

TAMU, a team that only beat two teams with a winning record, lost to Bama by 28, and only beat winless Vandy by 5 or, Cincy, a team that showed today they don't belong.

Its beyond time to give someone else a chance now. It literally doesn’t matter ‘who’ it is as long as it isn’t ND who has proven to even Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder that they simply do not belong. Seeing ND get used as a punching bag yet again is pointless. Times have changed.

They had the best resume and were most deserving. Put anyone else in the game and we know how it would've gone. TAMU already got booty blasted worse than ND did to Bama. There wasn't another good option.

The one team we know 100% for sure did not belong is Notre Dame. Everyone else is up for debate. I would have picked conference champ Oklahoma.

They didn’t have öööö. Look, you can read about ND’s glory years of the 40’s, 60’s, and 70’s maybe watch some black and white youtube clips or watch Rudy or Win one for the gipper or whatever other relic of a tradition they have. Those days are over. Gone. ND in current times is like watching Mickey Mantle stumble around in the outfield in 1968. Their record in big games is downright embarrassing.

a 2-loss Oklahoma team that lost to a 4-6 Kansas State team. Nope.

Plus, your justification on excluding ND applies even more to OU. How has the OU record in playoff games been? 0-4 with a 35 pt loss, 20 pt loss and 11 pt loss.
