So Yates is starting

Yates may not be as dynamic, but he seems more even keel and is less likely to make a disastrous play. Not sure he'd be the better option against some of our tougher opponents since (imo) his ceiling is lower, but against inferior competition he's the safer bet.

I mean tom brady doesn't run as well as Sims either doesn't mean he necessarily has a low ceiling

Hopefully he can lead us to a win. We've only been favored 3 times in the last 21 games and somehow managed to lose all 3 games (-19 vs NIU; -7.5 vs Cuse; -27 vs Citadel)

Yates plays older than he is. He has the play-making knack and is a very tough and gritty player. He seems to make his decisions pretty quickly, he can run the ball, and while he doesn’t have the strongest arm he is fairly accurate. He reminds me of the UAB QB - not a ton of zip on the ball but it’s delivered accurately and on time.

Speaking of UAB - might be an interesting game in that city waaaaay east of here tomorrow. UAB is well coached and uga will be starting someone other than Daniels at QB.

So I’ll be taking the points tomorrow.

Maybe CGC figured out he makes bad choices? He chose Sims to start, realized he’s wrong most of the time, so switched to Yates. If I was him I’d start trying anything besides what he’s been doing.
Since he calls a timeout to change his call when the fans start booing I wouldn’t be surprised if he isn’t reading stingtalk posts to figure out who to start today.

I've been a Yates fan since he committed. Posted about it 12/13/18 after the state championship. He is a playmaker it seems and today is his chance. Hopefully it will be the start of really good things for the team, the program, and the fans. Good luck today fellas!
