2002 was the first time we did it. Chan's 1st year and the 1st year of the North stand renovations. Here is a screenshot of the opener against Vandy in 2002.

Cause things like technology progress on an exponential curve.I was there! Why is it that pics from 2002 now look like they were from the 1970's?
We had all intentions of trying to go, but Friday is my dad's birthday and Saturday is my daughter's birthday. No way I was getting out of all that. I actually probably could've made it if it was on Saturday night because we'd be done with everything.Anyone going from the Augusta/CSRA area that would be willing to let me tag along ?
So GT isn't birthday party worthy. Hush yo moufWe had all intentions of trying to go, but Friday is my dad's birthday and Saturday is my daughter's birthday. No way I was getting out of all that. I actually probably could've made it if it was on Saturday night because we'd be done with everything.

Actually, the Vandy game home opener and the BYU game on 9/21/2002 still had the GT on the 50 yard line. The Wake game on 10/5/2002 was the first game with the GT's on the 35's. I remember it well because I was very disappointed with the decision, which obviously was done to copy the basketball court paint job at the time.2002 was the first time we did it. honorary coaches for the game are Walt Ehmer (Waffle House CEO) and Jim Sanders (VP Coca Cola Freestyle).
Was that the nightmare Wake game where they ran like 90 plays to our 30 and death marched us all game?Actually, the Vandy game home opener and the BYU game on 9/21/2002 still had the GT on the 50 yard line. I like the yellow paint much better than the beige paint Tech has been using since 2015.
Yes. The same misdirection play over and over and over all day.Was that the nightmare Wake game where they ran like 90 plays to our 30 and death marched us all game?
Sorry, actually the Vandy opener did have alternating GT on the 35's. Here is the video of the game. In fact, they took it one step further on the opener and had a gold GT with white trim on one side and a white GT with gold trim on the other side.Actually, the Vandy game home opener and the BYU game on 9/21/2002 still had the GT on the 50 yard line. As long as we don't pull a page out of the mongrels playbook...Excessive celebrations? That I've got to see!
