I'm not a fan of artificial turf, but that's what we have. I do wonder about the brown patches. I assume they are where the coconut hull beads gather heavier in one area. They are certainly moved around by rain, wind, and field use. Seems to me that there is some Zamboni type of rake that you're supposed to use to keep these little beads spread out and even (I think I remember hearing about one anyway). I wonder if we are using it at all, improperly, or not enough. Or maybe I made it up and it doesn't exist. If it doesn't exist, one of you smart SOBs design one, patent it, and make a fortune with it. I do expect a not-insignificant honorarium.
