Targeting???

It’s Sunday and I’m still mad. I told my priest I was still mad and he, a Tech fan, said he was also mad.
I’m doing better than Saturday, one of the more awful 24 hours I’ve had in recent memory, and those who had to be around me would agree.

Today I’m attempting to move on, “there are more important things going on in life,” that sort of thing. While that’s true, it will still take me a little longer to move on. At work tomorrow our COS better not say a damn thing to me.

It was the 3rd time in the game the same player - #17 - a walk on for UGA lead with his helmet.

That is intentional. That is coached.

Amen, it is coached! I can think of some past games when GT was tearing up some Dwags asses and the Dwags resorted to their cheating ways. Anyone remember when Eddie Lee Ivery was running all over the Dwags in the COFH game, they couldn't stop him, so they deliberately took Eddie Lee out by twisting his ankle, then it happened again in the COFH game, when WR Deandre Smelter was deliberately hurt because they couldn't stop him on defense.

Spearing has always been a penalty. Even before targeting.
The problem with this (and the rule in general, really) is that football by nature involves forcable contact with your helmet, and if you truly try to take it away in all scenarios you're left with a much, much different game.

Didn't they try to do it to Nesbitt one year? I don't think it worked, for obvious reasons.

After digestion and some slight interaction with cesspool partisans this morning. And the SEcheat media, what is offensive to me is the narrative that this was a 'heroic' win for the cesspool. They had the 'Hearts of a champion' and 'never quit'.

'Heroic' was the LAST thing that it was for them. There is nothing heroic when the refs have to slant the field to your benefit to even be in a position to make plays that should not of existed.

I was at that game, and they not only deliberately took him out, they circled him while he was on the ground, jumping up and down and pointing at him. That told me all I needed to know about those bastards.

Another thing that was awful was when their DL did a quick shift that caused our OL to jump. Beginning this year, that should be called a false start on the defense. Happened two plays before HK fumbled and again in OT
They did a lot of what I had been led to believe were illegal shifts, but none of them were ever called.

I’m still ööööing pissed.
Guy in front of me at Publix in checkout line looked back at me, “you enjoy that game Friday?” Me “no.” Him “you guys got screwed by the refs.” Me “yes.”
Girl checking out our stuff: “oh you’re still repping Tech even after losing huh?”
Took ever ounce of me to not say, “yes, looks like you are as well”.
I’m just pissed.

per CBS

Georgia is very, very fortunate to come away with a win against Georgia Tech in an eight-overtime battle. The Bulldogs benefited from multiple questionable calls late, including recovering a fumble late in the fourth quarter that looked like targeting, to keep its playoff hopes alive. The Bulldogs have shown they can knock off a top-flight opponent like No. 3 Texas, but have looked almost apathetic in other wins. Georgia's defense struggled to stop GT quarterback Haynes King on the ground (24 carries for 110 yards and 3 TDs) while generating little of value in its own run game. If that stays the same, Georgia will need a lot more from QB Carson Beck and his cast of receivers if the Bulldogs are to make a CFP run.

It was very VERY difficult at church this morning not to say exactly what I thought of Georgia and Beck, but I somehow managed to hold back.....a little. I still made my point, but not in quite the words I wanted to (LOL). Actually all of the many mutt fans there were very gracious saying how good Tech and King were, and that's all well and good, but I still let them know that Tech got robbed. There are, as far as I can tell, only 3 of us Tech fans there, and one of them I only met this morning. There are at least 25 avid Georgia fans, including the senior pastor.

Had my GT cap on in the WalMart this morning & passed a guywith a long sleeved GT shirt on & said to hom " What's the good word buddy?". Then he came up to me & said ," I got to tell you the truth. I'm from Maryland & saw this shirt in a thrift shop, liked it& bought it."
Told him that was OK but if asked in the future you reply TO HELL WITH GEORGIA he said he liked that & would do so. LOL

I met a young guy at Lowe’s in Newnan and we agreed that To Hell With Georgia was a pretty good word.

Have you guys seen this. This is similar to, although a lot worse than, the targeting hit on King Friday night. Do we know yet if King actually got a lingering injury from it?

Don't just read the headline; watch the video in the link
