I didn't see much effort out of him or any coach the last several weeks of the season. Obviously, he quit around the ND game. He made no effort to keep anyone and I suppose made his secret little "RBI for life" or whatever he was signaling to his recruits and Gibbs.

What would have told you he gave more effort? Why are you faulting someone for trying to improve their career? He didn’t do any disservice to GT and is on a year-to-year contract with a new Offensive Coordinator coming in and a potentially lame duck head coach. His situation is not stable.

He’s moving on to coach with one of the hottest names in college and one of the most successful offensive minds in the game right now. You should just be saying “Congratulations!” He owes you/us nothing.

Maybe he's burned his bridge to CGC, but there's no way he's burned his bridge to GT. He'll be welcomed back with open arms if he decides to come back in the future. No one's going to hold leaving this staff after three years for a better job against him. Especially not given his stature within the GT diaspora, and how well he seemed to perform while here.

Did I say I faulted him for trying to improve his career? He basically layed down on the job since the ND game. He has made no effort to help GT in any form for the last month, apparently taking a paycheck and looking for a job.
His tweets were cryptic, I thought they were strange at the time, but now make more sense. Obviously, he though of the RB's as his little team and didn't think of the entire team.
Y'all can love him and crybaby all you want. Good for him on leaving for USC. His bridge is burned, as far as I'm concerned, for his lack of effort for GT this last month. Good riddance. Don't let the door hit you where the good lord split you.

I have no problem with leaving for a better job. I have a problem with his total lack of effort for GT for the past month. I follow his Twitter. Something was brewing. He layed down on us. I never want him back here. Ever.

RBI likely means “Running Back Institute.” As in trying to recreate a similar vibe to “Wide Receiver U” at the Georgia Institute of Technology. There’s nothing too cryptic about it.

There seems to only be one crybaby here. And it’s not the people saying “Wow good luck Coach Choice!”

Losing Coach Choice is going to hurt....We should have fired Coach Collins....Maybe the AD and Coach Collins will be fired after the first four games.

Seems every day I come here and read another bit of news and another little piece of me dies.

To me, this is a little like when your kid leaves home to go to college (or join the military, perhaps, depending on the kid). You love them, and you know this is what is best for them and will help them grow and learn so much, and so you're happy for them and excited for their future. And all that doesn't matter a bit as you waive goodbye and try to not cry.

Bush and Emmitt were amazing HS running backs, for sure. But JJacket doesn't know jack öööö. Per usual.

I would remind folks by naming the high school running back who had the best high school FILM ever, by far, but I do not want a permaban. Dude won state championships in the 100 yard dash AND the shot put. The shot put! Against offensive and defensive linemen. Who the hell does that? I had heard about him and watched one of his games, and it was like the Liiliputians trying to tackle Gulliver. And a year later against college players, as a freshman, it was the same damn thing.

So please, enough with the Reggie Bush was a football god bull öööö.
