Tashard Choice Gone

Bush only had one 1000 yard season.. in the Southern Cal legacy, he is a boot licker..
Reggie Bush has the best film of any HS recruit, ever. He was an extra gear over everyone, including Gibbs. Dwyer's was also some of the best film I have seen.

USC got screwed by the NCAA. They have been suffering since. Would like to see them recover and UGAg become a back marker again.

Because he nods his head up and down real cool like at practice and makes speeches?

Other than Smith, Griffin, and Mason running hard on the scrubs at the end of the UGAg game, I saw nothing to indicate any coaching of our RB:s or OL. Choice is beloved, but if he were a former Oklahoma RB coaching us, having never played for GT, we would all be waving bye to him.
Did you watch ANY games? The fact Gibbs was leading the country in all purpose years for most of the season DESPITE that crap surrounding him has say something. Also Mason and Smith were better than 95% of the players an the team. Also, the was Broyles finalist despite the circus surrounding him. All of the players and recruits loved him and he was the SOLE reason the got looks, and commitments, from some of The highest rated guys.

I agree the last two games there were zero positives from any group. But if at any other point during the season, or during the past three years, you had asked a GT fan, "What are the parts of your team you feel good about?" almost everyone would have said "our running backs", and that would have been the end of the list. Maybe some would have said our kicking game.

Even if you asked a week after the U[sic]GA game, before the transfer exodus started, most would say they felt good about our running backs, both from a talent and execution perspective. And why wouldn't they? Anyone watching the games could tell we had real talent in the backfield, and almost every game would involve them making some great plays despite having an extremely poor O-line blocking for them.

The outcry is higher because Choice is a beloved GT figure, but even if he wasn't, people would definitely still be upset that the coach of our only good position group was leaving.

It's a lateral move. RB coach -> RB coach. I like people who don't say "I need something easier! Bye!" when faced with a challenge. You guys are celebrating a dude who lost 3 of our 4 best running backs, and one of the top RBs in the country.
You people are ööööing morons. Lateral move? Going from Tech to USC and the resources they have? Riley has his choice of coaches willing to go to LA, the fact he chose Choice should tell you what a commodity he is. He’s one of the best recruiters in the country

Kind of easy to lead in total kickoff yards when you receive so many chances.

If he were returning kicks at UGAg or Alabama, he might get 1-2 opportunities a game. How many kickoffs did UGAg actually have to receive this season? Mostly they received the opening kick or the kick after half and maybe one more kick during the game.

I thought he could at least wait till esd.

Couldn't wait to get the hell outta here I guess.

Maybe I’m the unique one then. I am happy he left before his career got put in a tailspin staying here
I don’t think his career was in any real danger of being damaged by being here.

Key is the one who is facing real negative impacts.

No use hanging around when all the top guys you’ve recruited & coached have bailed out. Perhaps the only competent coach on the entire staff. Absolutely no surprise he’s leaving.
A competent coach would have kept his players instead of watching them leave.

And worked hard to keep them onboard instead of throwing the resume out and abandoning ship.

I understand he will be making more money, not sure if California taxes will render that moot. I understand career building. However, it now seems he abandoned ship around the ND game. I wonder if the hard running from Smith was in spite of TC as opposed to for him. As much Rah Rah as their is to eventually get him as our HC, TV has likely burned his bridge back to GT.

A competent HC doesn‘t keep his worst Coordinator, retains a completely ineffective OL coach, loses his best position coach, loses his best player, loses his best recruit, loses all but 3 games every year. That being said, a competent AD doesn’t watch his #1 program implode and sit idly by without taking some sort of action. Fish rots from the head down.

Nightmare scenario: Gibbs follows him and wins the Heisman next year.

What are you doing?
