Sadly he does leave Tech as a loser, as will most others associated with this stretch of the program. But I don't think there's any dishonor in it, nor is he himself a loser. If you want to work your way up the coaching ladder, you need to take opportunities when they present themselves, especially when you're just a position coach. Being RB coach at USC is a fantastic opportunity for him and the type of job that could lead to an OC position in the future.
It's a lateral move. RB coach -> RB coach. I like people who don't say "I need something easier! Bye!" when faced with a challenge. You guys are celebrating a dude who lost 3 of our 4 best running backs, and one of the top RBs in the country.
