Tashard Choice Gone

you need to study up.

he ran Dorsett out of Dallas, became one of the top NFL back, 2k total offense, and Cowboys screwed him by sending him to that icey ööööhole.

it worked out good for the cowboys tho.
Please stop defending the dwag. It’s gross

Wut? Trading Walker away to Minnesota is still known as the best trade in Cowboy's history. They were 1-10 with Walker. What ran Dorsett out of Dallas in '87 was the fact he was a rookie at Dallas when Walker was a Sophomore in HS. Dorsett was nearing the end of a RB's productive life. Dorsett has 5k more career yards than Walker and more YPC than Walker.

Walker NEVER had 2k yards in an NFL season and only had over 1k yards in a season 2x. Dorsett had 8 seasons of 1k + yards. Herschel Walker was the very definition of a mediocre NFL RB. He did win Dallas some games, after they traded him to Minnesota and managed to get better players.

Walker played, in his Heisman season, against some of the weakest teams UGAg had faced in a decade. There were two teams on the schedule over .500. We were terrible.

Why do you think Riley wanted him? Tell me instead of spouting off about crap you don’t know about.
Because USCw can't grab an SEC RB coach? Hell, I don't know, but to say Choice is one of the best in the country ignores facts

Back in my day (and before) it was the absolute opposite.
We were not the geeks and nerds. Yes, we had a few, but the rest were very commonsense and hands-on students with enough book smarts to survive the 5 or 6 year plan.

Back then you probably needed survival skills to get through GT, now you can get through with book smarts alone.

That’s why the wreck parade was better.

Choice was a fan favorite and seemed to have the touch on recruiting, but there are other coaches out there that fit the bill. We’re going to have to open up the wallet a bit. Plenty of coaching turnover in the P5, so someone must be available and interested in making some Georgia recruiting contacts.

Wait, what is this? A voice of reason saying we didn't just lose the greatest coach of all time?

That's not how burden of proof works. You have to show why he's considered "one of the best" when people question your assertion. Being hired isn't a metric.

As for why I think Riley wanted him, they probably met while Choice was recruiting Texas and Riley liked his personality. Either that or it's to try and "buy" Gibbs through him.

I don't think anyone would hire a position coach to gamble on a shot at potentially landing Gibbs. I don't even think they would hire a position coach solely because he promised he would bring Gibbs with him. Gibbs is good; but he has not shown himself to be a Bo Jackson or even Derrick Henry level talent yet.

I wonder how y'all who support Choice's move are going to feel about it when Gibbs announces he's going to USCw too

We won't care. I do think Gibbs won't make that mistake. I expect Alabama or Ohio State so he can collect some sweet payola

I am not happy with either leaving, but it would definitely make sense for Gibbs to follow Choice to USC. Better there than Bama or anywhere else I can think of
Why better than Bama? Almost guaranteed to get drafted playing for Bama. USC is probably a .500 team next season, Gibbs' last one in CFB.
