Staying in Amelia Island. Hopefully the Florida weather treats us better for a bowl game than the 09 Orange Bowl did.
 
I would recommend something in Atlantic Beach near the bars, but then you have to consider the logistics of getting to the game.
 
It's only Turkish because they stole it from the Greek. The evil eye ward dates to before Alexander the Great who spread it throughout his Empire.

It must be sad for the Greeks to have been raped by the ottomans for 500 years that they lost all semblance of their own culture, so they have to say everything Turkish is theirs to make themselves feel better. Pathetic.
 
Tell that to someone who cares. I have no real connection to Greece or Turkey aside from picking up women during port calls and a few tours. I am a history buff however, and when an educated Turk whose job is to explain history and culture tells you that this is something that originated in Greek culture, you will probably more likely believe him than a random person on a forum.

Don't get me wrong though, aside from cultural visits, I do like to go to Turkey for the cheap leather jackets and nice rugs though. I would still like to make it to Istanbul and a few other areas in Turkey too, but it's a little hard to from Japan.

Yeah I honestly don't care. I was more hoping you were Greek so I could talk shit to you. But your story is definitely from a greek's perspective, otherwise you wouldn't use words like "steal". That's what butthurt nikos tell themselves rather than realizing that we lived with one another for a very long time so we're bound to share cultural aspects, Mr. history buff random person on a forum.

Grew up there and my parents still live in St John's County. 40+ miles from downtown St Augustine to Everbank and you have to get to I-95 first then get across Main St Bridge and through downtown to the stadium. You aren't averaging 80mph on that trip.

I reserved a spot in the Tailgaters Touchdown lot. They apparently have some grassy areas and bathrooms. Their lot opens at 8:00, which only leaves about 2 1/2 hours to hang out, but I was able to reserve a specific place close to gate #1, so the walk to the stadium won't be too bad.
