Tennessee 2017

We ded.

Also, there are multiple posters calling this year's team "team 120" and next year's as "team 121" all when referring to themselves.

I was trying to figure what that meant. Wiki says they started football in 1891. If they played every year, that's 125. Anyone know? Is that a UT thing, to call it 'team 120' instead of the '16 team?

An awful lot of them hedging in that thread.

Did they stop playing for WWII? They better be careful with that shit, we'll cancel the game real quick.

Why they so butt hurt over that tweet? Wasn't even smacktalk. Just pointing out that UT will be another SECe matchup and we happened to go 3-0 against them. Sad times in Knoxville.

Also lol at the guy who commented "they beat Vandy, uga, and Kentucky and are beating their chests." Oh, you mean a team you beat with a Hail Mary and another that spanked you?

Their defense got absolutely gashed this year and loses some top talent to the draft. We'll put up points with whoever plays QB in this system. We'll have to reload at DT to stuff the run, but glad to see Kamara leaving. They'll be favored by 3-7 points because SEC. I'd give us the edge today. Lot of time between now and then.

Boy for a high school offense, a bunch of teams have a hard time stopping it. I mean do you have any clue how many yards GT would have run for against us this year?

Also, unless our defense VASTLY improves, they will redefine the term "swiss cheese defense" against us next year.
A bit heavy on the self-deprecation perhaps but it's nice to see that they've got a couple of dudes who get it. My expectation is that it'll be a great game, but I do think we end up winning a close one.

Basically two types of posters on that board. Those who have seen us play and those who have heard we run the option. Pretty easy to pick them out by the ones who think they're in trouble and the ones saying "we should win by 14-21 points."

I suppose we play at Georgia Dome if that's the case?
Nope. The Dome is a gonner after the Falcon's season. It is the reason why Atlanta United will be playing its first games at GT. New stadium won't be ready for spring.

Everybody would be better off if South Carolina was back in the acc and Georgia tech was in the sec, it's the natural fit

We still get some love from SEC fans on SECRant

Tennessee fans are some of the biggest dumbasses on earth. They've been in the basement of the SEC the past couple years, but of course they're SEC and they're better than us. That worked so well for UGA and Kentucky.

What gets me is Butch Jones was actively involved in the cover up of the rape allegations. He branded one of his own players a traitor for assisting with the victim and the investigation. Tennessee had to pay a $2.4 million settlement before the season to make it all go away. At no point was he on the hotseat with fans - until they lost 3 IAR at one point and to Vandy at the end of the season.

how is that a natural fit?
We are a founding member of the Southern Conference and the SEC. South Carolina has always sucked. They will never have as many SEC Championships as us, ever

After they'd made fun of Vandy for a similar problem too.

Dumbasses. Probably one of the dumbest fan bases in college football.

I did attend one game up there this season.

When I saw this, I was like "Damn, Tennessee. trying to tell me something?"

And yes. I actually took this picture near Thompson-Bowling Arena

TN has 8 months to prepare for our offense.

Eight long months to completely reverse engineer our entire playbook, bring in the world's leading defensive minds, rehearse our offense at game speed with and without the ball.

We will be lucky to have positive yardage play the entire game.

I mean just look at that beat down of App State they delivered this year. Tennessee has some of the best football coaches on staff and with 8 months prep time they surely will win a blowout.

Healthy mix of homerism and level heads. Not too different than us.

UT has talent, but consistency seemed to be their issue this year (from the couple games I watched.) It'll be a good game, probably within 2 scores either way.

Given the ACC's history in prime time season openers, they have reason to be as confident as they are

that's what happens when we win the bowl game, immediately move to the long wait for the next game...
